can you post the 64bit version of this??
this is fake.
it is not fake! it a leaked pre-beta of it where is the 64 bit version?
trust me, this is the real thing. it is a pre-beta release that is preceding the first
beta release next week.
it does seem to increase stability and speed things up.
you do have to have your system fully updated first, and you must be using an
original version of vista with nothing removed.
how do i install it?
how do i install it?
http://keznews.com/5000_vista_sp2_build_16489_released_to_testers
in a posting to
the hotfix forums, members have claimed that microsoft have released a batch file which
enables the sp2 download from windows update. the download weighs in at over 290mb and
references the support article placeholder put online 2 weeks ago.
the file is
a 6 mb file
link's doesn't work...

hey kez i never knew there was a charge to download beta service packs..
but
thanks for this free download..
your such a tool kez
i tried the batch method and cannot find anything new in windows update. then i
downloaded the files but launching the installer is useless as it closes and nothing goes
on. could anybody help me please?
i really not sure because i am hearing many reports of windows vista 64 bit users not
being able to see anything about sp2 once they try the batch file hack. nothing ever
appears for sp2. i am having the same issue and i have tried ever batch file out there. of
course i went back to a fresh image each time before the previous batch file was set. none
of them worked. i tried everything. nothing.
people are claiming though there
is a windows vista 64 bit version of sp2. i seen plenty of images of it i just can't see
how there is when so many people with windows vista 64 bit are having problem even seeing
sp2 in windows update.
edit/delete message
how is this sp2 if its only 6 megabytes ?

.exe
get what? where?
crazy
just make it a .bat file under notepad, run as administrator, after it's done, have
windows check for updates. it'll have this little service pack 2 installer type thing,
then sooner or later after downloading and installing that, sp2 will be there.

i tried the server 2008 one on standard x86 and it ran but done nothing after i hit
install. anyone else getting this too?
do you need to have sp1 to install sp2? it does not work in my pc
huh
yes, that my case too nothing actually happens. no sp2 appears on the windows update
crazy
microsoft pre-release software license terms
microsoft windows vista service pack 2
these license terms are an agreement between microsoft corporation (or based on where
you live, one of its affiliates) and you. please read them. they apply to the
pre-release software named above, which includes the media on which you received it, if
any. the terms also apply to any microsoft
· updates,
· supplements,
· internet-based services, and
· support services
for this software, unless
other terms accompany those items. if so, those terms apply.
by using the software,
you accept these terms. if you do not accept them, do not use the software.
as
described below, using some features also operates as your consent to the transmission of
certain standard computer information for internet-based services.
if you comply with
these license terms, you have the rights below.
1. installation and use rights.
a. you may install and use any number of copies of the software on your premises to
design, develop and test your programs for use with the software.
b. you may not
test the software in a live operating environment unless microsoft permits you to do so
under another agreement.
c. time-sensitive software. the software will stop running
on june 1, 2010. you will not receive any other notice. you may not be able to access
data used with the software when it stops running.
d. term. the term of this
agreement will expire on june 1, 2010. you have the right to use the software under the
license terms of this agreement during this period. if you do not have a product key, you
may need to reinstall the software every 30 days.
e. font components. while the
software is running, you may use its fonts (including software, metrics and data) to
display and print content. you may only:
· embed fonts in content as permitted by the
embedding restrictions in the fonts; and
· temporarily download them to a printer or
other output device to help print content.
f. icons and other visual assets. subject
to these license terms, you may not copy or modify the images and other visual assets in
the software for any other purpose.
2. use with virtualization technologies. instead
of using the software directly on the licensed device, you may install and use the
software within only one virtual (or otherwise emulated) hardware system on the licensed
device. when used in a virtualized environment, content protected by digital rights
management technology, bitlocker or any full volume disk drive encryption technology may
not be as secure as protected content not in a virtualized environment. you should comply
with all domestic and international laws that apply to such protected content.
3. potentially unwanted software. if turned on, windows defender will search your
computer for “spyware,” “adware” and other potentially unwanted software. if it finds
potentially unwanted software, the software will ask you if you want to ignore, disable
(quarantine) or remove it. any potentially unwanted software rated “high” or “severe,”
will automatically be removed after scanning unless you change the default setting.
removing or disabling potentially unwanted software may result in
· other software on
your computer ceasing to work, or
· your breaching a license to use other software on
your computer.
by using this software, it is possible that you will also remove or
disable software that is not potentially unwanted software.
4. internet-based
services. microsoft provides internet-based services with the software. it may change or
cancel them at any time.
a. consent for internet-based services. because this
software is a pre-release version, we have turned on some internet-based features by
default to obtain feedback about them. these features connect to microsoft or service
provider computer systems. in some cases, you will not receive a separate notice when
they connect. you may switch off these features or not use them. for mor
noting works out for sp2...its not updating,..that file runs and does something, but
after that whenever try to update nothing goes on after the sp2 update confirm screen
comes and we give ok. :(
:( :( :(
yah right, maybe ms already disabled the update
maybe you're right! i also think microsoft disabled the update, which is normal guys come
on; microsoft will release to even more testers on october 29 the first beta. i'm pretty
sure we'll also get our hand on it :d
yea right....
crazy poster
it's not fake. it was there but you're too late now so better luck next time kid
absolutely fake man
how is it fake when u download it straight from the windows update download server??
answer that one question.
the file is 500+ mb....why is that?
whats the link again?
thanks
how to install it? should we download all files and put in a directory?
what to do with the psf files?
those who did'nt tested this yet..should not reply...without knowing anything, simply
saying its fake.
i ran the code in a batch (.bat) file & wu did the 2- updates (summary).
after
looking around i also found that the copy of ie8 version had been updated too, it appears
quite a bit faster now.
i applied the .bat code and registry keys were successfully added, but wu does not find
any updates!!
same here. what version of vista do you have? 32 or 64 bit ?
found a way to show the vista sp2 update in wu (for those people who are having no luck
with sp2 update)
1. download and install wua version 7.2.6001.784
32-bit: http://download.windowsupdate.com/wi...gent30-x86.exe
64-bit:
http://download.windowsupdate.com/wi...gent30-x64.exe
2. download and install
kb955430
http://download.windowsupdate.com/ms...15686736db.msu
3.
restart and check for windows updates.
as everybody can see this is done
through legal means from the ms downloads and updates!
hey everyone, microsoft released the true beta of sp2 today to testers. if you remember,
during sp1 testing, when they released a new build, they pulled the old one from wu. that
means that this version is outdated and has been pulled, and this is why you can't see it
on windows update any longer. wait til someone leaks the batch file for the new one.
just installed vista ultimate sp2 v.113
wow what a great improvment.
this is a
new world of speed. no update you have to reinstall.
