Windows XP gets another six months

Tip: Click here to update all your PC's outdated driversGiven its history of moving deadlines at a moment's notice, it hardly seems surprising that Microsoft is keeping Windows XP alive even longer than expected, but its latest move looks particularly bad for Vista.
The apparent decision to allow OEM computer sellers to offer disks that downgrade installations of Windows Vista to XP until the end of July next year clearly bumps up against the period when Windows 7 might be released.
Unpromising outlook
Microsoft had previously said it would end the scheme next January, but the continued lack of demand for Vista appears to be behind the change of heart.
If the move is confirmed, it's yet more bad news for Vista, as XP users may have the option to skip the unloved OS entirely and move straight to Windows 7.

few more months for the expired os
ms should discontinued this security
wreck long time ago , since 2004
don't get xp jealous!!!!
most of the problems people are having with vista is all the extra fluff that microsoft
chose to include as part of what gets installed by default. you have to customize vista
heavily to get it to run smoothly.
not to mention that most people have no clue
exactly what is slowing down their system, let alone know how to streamline it.
xp is fast, versatile and useful. it works. vista is bloated and designed for gamers...
not for work. gamers need only an x-box...
i have had vista since release day and it has been great.
all those that bash
vista have no idea how the os works...
windows 7 = vista, so old stories !
wasnt xp that os that came out like 7 years ago?? hmm cant remember such a longtime ago i
do remember alot of people were saying that they had alot of problems with it back then.
when will vista be killed off ?
personally i dont give a sh** if xp is killed
off, i'll continue to use it until i find a decent os to replace it.
yes we got the same bs we now with vista...
xp was good, vista is even better
in my books. sadly there are people who have no idea how to run an os, so they come online
and bash it as always :)
why are people still buying windows junk software. everyone do as i have done and ditch
your pc with the disgusting windows os and buy an apple. may be a bit more expensive but
believe me you will never regret the decision.
thank you steve jobs for helping your self with job security. never realized you read
keznews.com !!!
looking for new ideas from windows 7 are we??
hugs and
kisses......bill
ah yes. windows me2 will soon be gone. those who had 98se held on until xp. then they
were happy. now, xp hold on until win7, and then they will be happy as well.
and you know, my old car i got new in 2000 still works just fine. way cheaper than a new
"vista" car and i will be fine for a few more years. just like my old xp pro!
i want to know where to get the roll back disc as my laptop came with vista on it and
they do not supply drivers for xp and would love just a rollback option
vista`s great......for browsing the web.but it cant do any other tricks,it fails
miserably..buggy drivers,random happenings.
some of us need more than a web browser !
it appears that once again some people are just not 'getting' it. this continual debate
of vista vs. xp is getting old. i will not argue that if you buy a new machine and it
comes with vista installed it will probably work just fine. the big debate for me centers
around what does vista offer to make me spend $400.00 of my hard earned money and the time
to completely reformat and then reinstall all of my programs. that to me is the key issue.
just because it can handle more memory (64 bit only) or it has aero transparency isn't
enough of a wow to make me part with my money. i have tried vista and i just don't get
what all the 'it works greater than..." is all about. in a nutshell xp is already paid
for by a great many people, is currently installed on their computers and working just
fine so why/what is vista going to do for them and me to warrant this investment in
dollars and time. that is the real issue. unless windows 7 has some really kick ass
features/performance, etc. and not just vista with some eye candy i am afraid it too will
go nowhere and xp will still remain dominant. i don't mind spending my money but i have
to see a noticeable return for my dollars. just my .02
then why did you upgrade to xp?
wasnt windows 2000 good enough for you?
seriously how much different was xp over windows 2000? its the same argument of vista over
xp. people upgrapde os for newer and better technologies for the same reason. right?
i like to sniff guys butts and when i get real horny i like to get screwed by 5+ guys.. i
do enjoy getting gang banged...
i use a company called sys-tech.org to solve all of my xp and vista problems and you
should too!
