Google Chrome - Web browser from Google

To get a little more in depth, Google Chrome uses the same rendering engine as Apple's Safari browser, named Webkit. In recent history, the developers of Webkit have made great strides in creating what is, as of today, the fastest browser engine in terms of rendering speed. Google Chrome, currently version 0.2.149.27, seems to use a slightly older build of Webkit (version 525.13, to be precise), however, so some of the recent Webkit development gains will not have made it into the first release of the browser.
Other features of Chrome include a dynamic tab system which allows you to drag and drop tabs inside and outside of the browser window, an "incognito mode" in which the sites you visit are not added to your browsing history, and a feature similar to Opera's Speed Dial, in which you are presented with your nine most visited websites, in thumbnail form, when opening a new tab.
If you wish to give Google Chrome a try, click the download link below. It's an early beta, though, so don't expect it to be perfect.

i use safari on vista and i like it. will try chrome too, although if it uses an older
build than safari, will probably stick with safari.
good to have competition,
as long as they keep it open source.
i never use tabs though, just don't like
them.
why leave out support for their own toolbar!!!!!. without that for many of us its pretty
unusable which is a shame as its fast and lots of useful features.
i have it, works well, most features are not in yet, but for a beta what it offers is
more than expected from any new browser i its beta stage, dynamic tabs are great, fact
that you have a similar privacy mode called incognito mode are just added bonuses, and a
task manager built into the browser that treats each individual tab as its own window, it
lists the individual tab's footprint on your computer and you can easily close a non
responsive tab with the click of a button without having to end your entire session by
closing the while window
wish it would be also portable version.... for my usb stick
google software is crap ware, even the toolbar is crap.
i will never use this
broswer.
works pretty fast, but it cannot block flash ads, also - password menagers do dont work
with this browser. and therefore it suc.ks!
is it just me or chrome looks and feels a lot like ie7??? speed is nice but why
shouldn't it have speed that the only way they can get anyone to use it , im just
wondering what will happen to firefox if google stops supporting them. but either way any
one who is using google apps is an idiot and that what the browser is fast for handling
java scripts.
today u downloaded and tried out the google chrome webrowser and i must say it's the
best webrowser. and i tested it with acid 3 and it gets a higher score then leading
firefox 3!!! firefox 3 gets 71/72. i tried google chrome and it got 78/80. well for a beta
it's very fancy and nice and with scripts and how it handles then it's the best so far.
and it's pretty fast too.
well done google
it's fast because it barely has any features like plug ins and ad blocker and the url
area doesnt need to be that long and it should have other buttons like the home that you
can put on that bar.
the google toolbar is already integrated in google chrome! just type your search phrase
into the url field!!
slim, fast, simple, all plugins work just like ie ( but a lot faster....
for a
beta version, this baby have a goooood future...
you can display the home button on the toolbar. just go to "options" and select this
feature. ;)
where is portable version?
you all have been fooled by this spyware :)
and now for the google operating system!

!!!wajahat najam!!!
you are testing alpha software of v3.1
so besides
telling here, report your bugs to the team!!!
the latest stable version of
firefox is v3.01...
now this is the real deal.think i would rest firefox for a while.
i think that would be awesome if google chrome won't just be a plain browser but it has
a capability to communicate directly with the cpu to be more of an os like.
