Here is an interesting article regarding SP3 performance, ignoring the fact that Vista SP1 is still faster than XP SP2/SP3 users will enjoy a performance boost over SP2. When will people learn that Vista ain't all bad!

now why the sp is not available via download center till now??
what does ms

as expected, the self-extracting .exe version of windows xp service pack 3 was made
available to the general public by microsoft this morning. however, due to a last minute
problem, the official release to windows update and the microsoft download center was
delayed.
a company blog post last week stated sp3 would be released for manual
download today. a check of microsoft update from windows xp-based systems this morning
shows that new components belonging to xp service pack 3 have not yet been made available.
sp3 was made available to msdn subscribers on schedule last wednesday. however,
microsoft says it has since uncovered a compatibility issue between dymanics retail
management system (rms) and windows xp sp3.
windows vista sp1 is also affected,
but few customers are likely running dynamics rms on the new operating system. the product
is used by small and midsize customers to manage their retail chains.

i had to disable apm in bios to avoid not acpi compliant blue screen at start up, but for
vista i don't.

installed it two days ago and everything is fine. no glitch no problem at all. this must
be the official release..
windows xp has been dead since vista arrived. no doubt about that. i don't have any
problem using vista.
i use vista and it working fine for me very fast!!!! vista is okay if you are using the
hardware that suites for vista

hello to everybody,i have just downloaded the stand alone version of xp sp3 in this site
however i have a doubt to install it. is xp sp3 installation needs cd-key to activate or
will it continously install the said operating system cd-key? i'm afraid that after
installing the said oprating system it will inquire some activation process. any help you
