Windows XP SP3 Release Dates
section: windows, for your questions: KezNews forum, 15.4.2008
With Service Pack 3 for Windows XP just over the horizon, we've managed to get our hands on the internal schedule for the release of the highly anticipated update to the aging operating system.
As you can see in the list below, most of the stages will occur before the end of the month, though forced automatic updates won't land until June. This delay should give system administrators an ample amount of time to prepare for the upgrade or simply come up with an excuse for when things go awry.
* April 14, 2008: Support is available for the release version of Service Pack 3 for Windows XP
* April 21, 2008: Original Equipment Manufacturers, Volume License, Connect, and MSDN and TechNet subscribers
* April 29, 2008: Microsoft Update, Windows Update, Download Center
* June 10, 2008: Automatic Updates

sp3 final should of been released already.. we all know service pack 1 for vista suxx
like a whore.. they are just dragging there asses on the release.
will sp3 be for x64 as well as x86 xp ???
vista sp1 is a new beginning for advanced technology!
windows xp is for
losers!
xp is old and outdated, its time to move on.
"xp is old and outdated, its time to move on" . . . . so? vista is new and crappy. xp
will continue updated and is not that old
vista is for girls, who just want to browse the web.
so sp3 won,t come till the end of april??
vista is new, the future of gaming graphics and technoloy and it beats xp 100 times over.
vista is very new compared to xp which is over 4 years old. also just because sp3 is
coming out for xp dont mean it's better than vista and how do you feel microsof are not
making anything else after sp3 so shame. windows 7 and vista is the new technology for the
future and xp will be discontinued, so you can have your shity xp, it only makes you
bigger noobs.
i got news for you, everything on the grapevine indicates that vista suc.ks donkey diks
and is being replaced with windows 7 june (jit for the xmas rush folks) of 09. xp is far
superior, its snappier, has application compatibility, plus it does not have the pervasive
drm to the extent that vista does. vista is slow, freezes, and calls home every 30 seconds
to give microsoft a report on the user. vista is for noobs that dont know any better.
vista guzzles cpu and memory resources like a cheap whore of an os that it is.
vista
was made for hollywood noobs, not the home user, surprize! your not even number 3 on
microsofts list of whose important. computer it people worldwide have rejected vista in
favor of xp and windows 7. because vista is such a loooser record numbers of people have
and are migrating to linix, apple, reactos, and other open software platforms. i refuse to
pay for a quad core from wintel to pay for drm suc.king my resources dry, ill save the
money for me instead. a decent os upgrade should not force people to replace their
hardware, it ought to be backwards compatible and run most of the software the previous os
did. vista is just backwards and does not. this is the fault of microsoft, because it was
their responsibility to communicate with hardware manufacturers, and they failed. as a
result they have another windows miilinium, a failure.
"so? vista is new and crappy. xp will continue updated and is not that old"
it is very old, main support is ending, only those with new low end pc's will get
support.
after sp3, thats it no more service packs..

we got the same old crap
talk with xp as we are now with vista.
vista is fine, it’s only those who have
device driver problems, and that is down to the third party vendors to fix, not
microsoft...
bad device drivers cause more cpu and ram usage...
..using the hardware i already own, & it does everything i need it to do.
so tell me
again why i need to switch to vista?
drm?
blinken lights?
purty pitchers?
hey people check this out: an open source platform called reatos claiming to be a clone
of windows! its reverse engineered. its sorta primitive at this point. i swear if windows
seven is as shitty as vista ill migrate to something when xp crumbles. basically vista
s.ucks.
reactos let me know what you guys think
http://www.reactos.org/en/index.html
well finally someone has said something that is totally the truth....why? come on now...
girls like to decorate their purses or jeans or whatever the damn wear. their
rooms are totally a phraking mess..going into there rooms is like going to iraq and sit in
a little cafe shop till someone past by to explode the damn place.
vista is the
same damn thing. more decorations and you wait till it exploded. its a damn w.h.o.r.e
now let the vista babies lovers alone!
it is so fun reading all those vista sux xp sux posts...
no one can really say
that 1 su.ck more than the other, it is (in part) down to the eye of the beholder.
personally i don't see the need for vista since xp seems more efficient on current
hardware. if that is the hardware producers driver problem or just vista that suc.k,
doesn't really change the perspective for me personally, i look at the performance given,
not who's to blame.
one statement is that vista is "the future of gaming
graphics and technoloy".. hmm, why? if it is cuz' of dx10 i suggest u try to view some
screenshots in crysis and compare dx9 to dx10.. there is virtually no difference. dx10 was
probably only created to push vista, not to create better graphics..
but again,
if u have the hardware, love the eye candy and don't mind wasting cpu cycles on aero, go
ahead and run vista. but don't say it's cuz it's faster than xp, cuz that is a lie!
you can not afford to "diss" xp. sp2 has been very stable and remains so now. i as a
oem am not as yet happy to role out vista to my business customers. i hope sp1 will help
convince me otherwise. but my neck is on the line and i am a beliver is "if it aint broke
dont fix it"
i won't hold my breath
xp is prehistoric, a relic, old fashioned, needs to be put in a retirement home for its
final days on this earth. they actually found an xp in a tomb in egypt..so ancient :p
rather have something from the tomb in egypt at least i know it is worth something than
have something that come from the ass of some noob that forgot to wipe.
ancient??, age has nothing to do with it.. the age of xp doesn't make vista run any
smoother or faster.. vista in business is not needed, business' focus on what makes them
more efficient, and vista don't do that. in fact vista makes them upgrade machines to run
the things they used to run just fine on ols machines with xp..
on the
homefront, -ma_ybe, i can see the use for vista..
i prefer xp for now. ill just wait for windows 7. vista is good too, but very expensive
as for now. microsoft is abandoning xp but what about the costumers that bought their xp
product? its that unfair? well as of now theres a lot of os to choose from. for now linux
is the best candidate to migrate. windows 7 soon lets just see
beware
