Tip: Click here to update all your PC's outdated driversThis program will transform your Windows user interface to ultimate Windows Vista alike looks that everyone will never notice it’s the same old Windows XP (or 2003)
Vista Transformation Pack will replace many of the resources in Windows XP/Windows Server 2003. It can change such things as:
* Boot screen
* Welcome Screen / Logon Screen
* New msstyles files (visual styles)
* New desktop and file icons
* New toolbar icons
* Progress Dialogs
* Sounds scheme
* System Tray icons
* New Wallpapers
* Windows Media Player Skins
* And much more
(From Mr Windows X)
Sadly that I couldn't bundle a user guide of this release together with the product since Maeroris doesn't have much time to work on it and I already promised to release it in middle of this month (which seems to be late already). To be frank, this version is mainly the same to previous ones except "Aero Glass without WindowBlinds" and "WinFlip" featured with overall improvements such as:
-Fixed hotfix issue, no more workaround trick required to avoid that
-Ability to save transforming information for later uses and unattended transformation
-Ability to detect the targeted machine and give suggested setup configuration
-Some transformation procedures refinements you should look at like pre-configure on first run, removed obsolete dialogs and msn skin, etc.
-New 3rd-party apps and new version of existing apps
And yes, it's free still without paying few hundreds for some certain stuff you like in Vista.

i got 4gb of ram and i cannot take anymore the slow booting of windows vista takes 1-2
minutes to boot up.
quality (vista) versus performance (xp) well of course win xp
wins me back with its sp3 extra performance ;)
so this trans. pack is fu*kin
appreciated ;)
if pretty is so important to you why not just buy a new dress .
i tried several different transformation packsand most of them introduce little bugs in
the os, curious about this one.
just wondering if this has bugs like the previous version 7.
and doesn't use a lot of system resources. it's also less buggy than vtp.

===i got 4gb of ram and i cannot take anymore the slow booting of windows vista takes 1-2

and we all know how much that 4gb of ram will aid in your
boot times.... you should invest in a real system to put that 4 gigs in before you flap
your trap. i really wish everyone who bitches about vista would read the hardware
requirements and take those into consideration before they install it on their 1ghz dell
with 4gb of ram ,voodoo2 video card on a 30gb 5400 rpm harddrive.
tried this on an xp sp2 laptop and could not get the third party tools to install so
therefore, no cool glass and flipping windows as i had hoped. this might be stupid but
does this program have video capability requirements that are holding me back?

i install this on vista and now have vista!
my vista x64 takes about 1-2 min to boot. but i only boot once a month because my pc is
rock solid stable and is on 24/7. i currently have 4gb of ram and vista is using 50% of
it? wtf? is this normal for those who have 4gb? i usually have 80 processes running.
i got pentium d 930, 2gb ram, nvidia 7300gs and vista ult. run all latest games on high
with overclocked gfx card with rivatuner, even crisis but shadows turned off or low.
anyways, boot speed is approx. 30-40 seconds and my laptop takes around 25-30.
perhaps u hav to many programs trying to start at startup.
no problem what so ever with this pack. looks nice to, winxp sp2 p4 2,8ghz ht northwood
1gb twinmos ddr geforce fx 5500 256mb ram
is it support the sound driver of vista or xp????
i can't install vtp8.0.1. right at the begining i become an error messege. i use toshiba
tecra a8-143 with 1,6gb ram which should be inaf.
got the same thing as the person above me..
i installed the pack, but a no go, so i uninstalled it, but i still have the icons
looking like vista, how do i get ride of it?
reinstall the pack and unistall again.this time check all the boxes in the options menu
that comes up during uninstall
the only thing i love in vista is flip. no w i can run this only with winflip. no xp is
perfect~
i was instaled this transformation pack ( 8.1 ) and didn't work for me...xp started so
slowly...
hey, how about a xp transformation pack that makes your vista to look like xp!!
no way laptop boot up espically with
vista take 30~25 considering most
laptop have slow hd ~5200 rpm
and other stuff
only if you have
u3er lapy protype ! :p
superfetch is the reason - it loads lots of stuff into memory to "theoretically" make
your computer faster. it's a radically different approach from xp's prefetcher
explaining the steep memory requirements.
i use xp sp3 :)
i tried to install this one on intel gma, its doesnt working. any idea?
why most of the people still love to convert their xp to a vista-like gui. i think it is
the time to stick to vista.
having the recommended specs gives you full experience!
hey..noting so special about vista...i install two os on my machine...vista ultimate & xp
pro sp2...xp is most of the stable os...faster & reliable...
hi
any one tried vistamizer it does same job as this one and i have had no problems
with it
dont use this crap
"sp3 extra performance ;)"
i don't know exactly what you have been smoking but as
of now sp3 is the slowest most unstable update i have ever seen. its like microsoft is
trying to "vista" xp
going to XP soon
