Steve Jobs Goes to Microsoft

section: common, for your questions: KezNews forum, 29.11.2007

Steve Jobs, Apple’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, putting a single foot inside the Redmond campus, Microsoft’s fief, would be nothing short of a sacrilegious move.

Jobs going to Microsoft would actually equal the sacred mingling with the profane, and just as much a sacrilege as Bill Gates visiting the Cupertino-based hardware company’s headquarters. And yet, Steve Jobs is capable of such desecration as going over at Microsoft, well, not the real Apple CEO, but Fake Steve Jobs. You might have heard of him, Fake Steve Jobs is none other than Daniel Lyons, a Forbes editor, and author of the Apple blasphemy also known as The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs.

According to Microsoft, “Fake Steve Jobs is (in his off hours) Daniel Lyons, a senior editor for Forbes and the author of an earlier novel and a collection of short stories. He is the recipient of both a National endowment for the Arts Literary Fellowship and the Playboy College Fiction Prize.” The short biography is associated with a video of Daniel Lyons on “oPtions: The Secret Life of Steve Jobs” his book derived in part from the blog over at Microsoft.

Of course it could only be the Redmond company that would embrace Fake Steve Jobs. Daniel Lyons in fact has been complaining (just watch the video here) about the fact that Apple did not come ringing when his secret identity was blown. Lyons also explains why it is so easy to make fun of Steve Jobs, opposite to the Microsoft Chief Executive officer Steve Ballmer.

“Welcome to the mind and world of Fake Steve Jobs: Fake Steve, the counter-intuitive management guru: “Obviously we can’t literally put our employees’ lives at risk. But we have to make them feel that way.” Fake Steve the celebrity hobnobber: “I like Bono. He’s the only person I know who’s more self absorbed than I am.” Fake Steve on backdated stock options: “No doubt you’ve heard what happened to me. You’ve read the stories about the big scandal at Apple. The fact is, you’ve heard only one side. You’ve heard a distorted tale based on leaks and lies, fabrications and media hacks. Now it is my turn. And believe me, my lies and fabrications and falsehoods are way more convincing than theirs”,” reads another fragment published by the Redmond company and accompanying the video of Daniel Lyons in his visit over at Microsoft.

Behead Steve Jobs!

By Outlander on 30.11.2007 - 18:11
ever since steven jobs came back to apple in the late 90's apple has gone to hell. in fact no one is actually using macintoshes anymore, they are using pc clones that can even run winblows natively.

first we lost the os in favor of some cheap bsd knock off.

then we lost the power button on the keyboards, so much for "ease of use"

then in 2006 we lost the "macintosh" forever when steve jobs the moron he is switched to intel.

the real steven jobs needs to be quartered in a public area so everyone can see. no matter what he says macintosh is about ease of use, and thinking out of the box, not conforming to everyone elses standards like he has done. i would have rather seen apple go under then the unix forgery it has become today.

r.i.p. apple 1976-2006 you are missed.

a lot of "Dollars from Apple Heaven"

By Smart-PC-User on 01.12.2007 - 02:12
behead outlander!
outerland either is an outerspace alien or a real idiot(est) among the idiot-mac-users who didn't know that ever since steve jobs came back to apple in the late 90's apple has gone to heaven.

-- apple stock (aapl) went from $6.56 in 4/17/2003 to $187.70 high today 11/30/2007.
-- while microsoft stock (msft) went from $25.50 in 4/17/2003 to $34.12 high today 11/30/2007.

steve job made me(a smartest among the smart-pc-users) $180 richer for every aapl share that i bought in april 2003. it is truly a lot of "dollars from apple heaven" for me :) :) :)

ou

outlander is an alien from another galaxy so he doesn't know what he is talking about. let me share with you

i'm not fan of steve jobs, but lmao at your comment. apple was practically dead before he returned. now look at them, they're huge. say what you will he most certainly saved the company.

the classic mac os was crap. no true multi-tasking, crashed like crazy. to say it was better than os x is insane.

oh no, they switched to intel and it's not a mac anymore? seriously wtf? cry some more about it. the move to intel was necessary. it's just a computer for god's sake, always has been. get over it.

Mac on Intel?

By Ajicool on 02.12.2007 - 15:12
steve said: mac is just the software.
so its not always mac on powerpc.
now you can ipod touch or iphone. its actually mac on portable machine.
or, maybe that ibm can no longer build better powerpc cpus anymore.
what do you think guys?

Exactly

you all are new world apple users, you all have made my point.

1. it's not about the money smart-pc-user.

2. the classic os and the hardware made up the macintosh mark

3. it is all about the hardware ajicool

i guess i'm really showing my age as an original mac user that still has his system 1.1g disks beside him. all three of you don't understand what it was originally about, none of you.

be happy with your gui unix clones running on your fancy pc hardware. no creativity, no thinking out of the box, just pretending that you all do. nice.

re exactly

in other words your just an old bitter mac fanboy. it's a computer, get over it and get a life.
