First look at Windows Vista SP1 build 6001.16659

Earlier today I downloaded the standalone installer for Windows Vista SP1 build 6001.16659 and installed it on a few systems to see what it was like - and I thought you might like to take a look at it.
Don’t expect huge UI changes after installing SP1 - the changes are small and subtle. In fact, if you’re not familiar with Windows Vista, you might miss the SP1 changes. I’ve put together an image gallery showing some of the most significant changes.
Here are some of the changes:
* Disk Defragmenter now allows you to pick volumes to defragment
* Search option removed from the Start menu
Other points worth noting:
* The install process took about 40 minutes on my system
* The system rebooted 4 times
* So far, I’ve not come across any SP1 related issues
What I’m really interested in seeing is how performance and reliability is affected.

i have installed the previous service pack and it made the timer crack stop working, i
have a new crack wich emulates a selected bios and mobo of your choice and installs a key
and activates but it doesnt work on my system but it seems to work for my friends, anyone
know of any other cracks out there??

shame about the search removed, i quite liked that feature. that's one of the things
they were boasting about in the vista launch event =-/ also, they didn't by any chance
add the % to disk defragmenter did that? that annoyed me =-(

i tryed almost all cracks i have (including paradox) on previous build 6001.16549 and i
didnt managed to activate it:(
i joind and had no problems it downloaded in 1.45 hours it is a good site
so i have a dell that came with home premium but i downloaded the dell oem for ultimate
and upgraded. so im now currently running ultimate, and so my computer already is
authentic with the oem key... so my question is if i install sp1 will the oem key work or
will i have to use the key i got when it shipped with home premium.... id rather run
ultimate
with the new sp1 the paradox bios emulation does not work. (or at least i can't get it
to work)
does anyone know if i actually flash my bios is that works?
all oem crack will not work! this is a beta sp1 not rtm release!! you can try it for 30
days then uninstall it and your system will go back to the oem version if you have crack
it with paradox or other oem cracks! don´t know about time stoppers there to old and i´m
sure ms fixed that crack by now!
i dled it fro mega ups, it took like 5hrs, is there going to be a crack for this, i need
to test software i'm developing.
i bought a windows vista ultimate, nd used the key, then suddenly i had to do a format nd
now im without a key, i lost my 300$.

what oem crack do you used? i have the paradox one but after installed the
sp1 it say trial 15 day etc...
we are talking about de (ha, ha,) the latest v.275. which is out now not v.249 which came
out sometime in late june or early july!!!!

ik use the emulation bios oem from paradox, u say that he doesnt work in the
beta,, i know i have sp1 installed on my virtual machine program,, on my pc normaly i use
simpel vista ultimate no sp,,
but with the original sp he is activated? or how does
it go,,
or can i better wait until there is more information?
