Windows Vista Ultimate Extras, Less than 3 days and counting

section: windows, for your questions: KezNews forum, 20.9.2007

Microsoft has 2 & 1/2 days left until Summer ends and the first day of fall officially starts. and still no word on what or if anything is happening with Ultimate Extras.

The Ultimate Extra blog still hasn't been updated since July 2nd when it said it intended to deliver DreamScene and the Language Packs by the end of summer.

"We intend to ship Windows DreamScene and the remaining 20 Language Packs by the end of the summer. We will not ship the last two Extras showcased in January (Windows DreamScene and the remaining 20 Language Packs) until they meet the high quality bar required by our enthusiastic customers—and we believe that we can achieve that bar by the end of this summer".

I don't know about you, but I am beginning to think they won't make it. It's a real shame that a huge corporation fails to keep its Software users up-to-date on whats going on with the development of the extras.

yeah! ms has been extremely disappointing when it comes to ultimate extras. i don't even think the dream scene stuff is out of beta yet! it's a multi billion dollar company and they can't seem to get to writing any code other than office or operating system kernels. geeks!

dream scene: useless application delivered by microsoft to distract you from work and and load up your cpu with as much crap as possible while it displays a video as your desktop background. crashes (dreamscene has stopped working...) allows you to have fantastic interactivity with the disturbing pop-up by clicking the cancel command button. that's about it...

very useful ultimate extra, huh?

winblows viscrap, brings headaches-network disconnection-crashes, router configuration issues- drivers incompatibility-"stopped working"-"no solution found" and much more to your world...

Thank God for Paradox and Ultimate

By The CAT on 21.09.2007 - 15:09
microsoft has screwed users on ultimate. luckily, paradox settled the score for these unfortunate good people. if you purchased ultimate and find yourself feeling used and angry, take my advise. what i would do to "get my money's worth" is to install cracked ultimate on all your other computers and pass a copy to a couple of friends. maybe you won't get your ultimate extras, but you'll feel damn good giving away 10k or more worth of microsoft product, making up for the screwing you got from microsoft. don't let other fall into the trap of paying for ultimate when they'll be ripped off for their good faith, be a friend and introduce those folks to paradox....
