Microsoft is secretly working on a new OS with the core team of Vista, sounds exciting? well indeed it is. Some insiders have told me that this new OS is not based on DOS unlike all Windows [Bink: aha, so Windows NT, 2000, XP is based on DOS afterall!] and it wont be prefix Windows just Omnigo as for now. This OS is being built for their future devices such as Surface and upcoming Gadgets(I sense Mac OS X) and moreover the development is moving rapidly as if Microsoft is planning to release this by 2008 itself. The team behind this project have all been the part of original Windows thus everybody is really enjoying working together and enthusiastic about this upcoming OS.
Coming on to features it is confirmed that you wouldn't require keyboard or mouse to use it, It will be used in touchscreen interface and since its being developed from scratch specifically for such devices. It might give Mac OS X a tough competition with gadgets like Surface, Zune Phone (maybe).
Lets hope for the best, although we can't really expect much from Microsoft but if everything turns out well. They can gain the reputation back with the upcoming Surface Table and the new Technologies being developed all while giving Apple, Googler really really hard time.
Microsoft Corporation is an American multinational computer technology corporation with 76,000 employees in 102 countries and global annual revenue of US $51.12 billion as of 2007. It develops, manufactures, licenses and supports a wide range of software products for computing devices. Headquartered in Redmond, Washington, USA, its best selling products are the Microsoft Windows operating system and the Microsoft Office suite of productivity software.

-- 1) the evil "dead-operating-system"(dos) based windows are not going to die even
after microsoft complete the ominigo in 6-8 years from now.
-- 2) the omnigo will
have some micorsoft developed i/o interface layers and service layers that will be built
on top of a licensed embbeded unix/linux core kernel or it could be a pirated version of
the apple developed multi-tasks/multi-threads operating system.
-- 3) pirates of
silicon valley laws: microsoft never start from square one when they can steal the whole
thing and use the stoten goods to kill the original developers.
i have been using vista for the past couple of months now and have switched back to the
wonderful xp. oh what a breath of fresh air after 2 months of suffocation. when xp dies
i'll be over to linux and waving bye bye to ms shat for good. they really have seen their
day.
what's in your plate?
hairy potter wizard, your forgeting that steve stool from xerox, and bill stool from
steve.
although bill didn't make it, he didn't try to "kill" the original
developers, that was steve.
whats your point grandiose? it's not like ms will die just because some low-life troller
switched to linux.
omnigo looks like the os used in minority report, do u remember that. it would be really
awesome, but if came from ms, it gonna take 100 gb to install, 12 gb of ram, and maybe a
octuple core processor.
i have seen a video clip of the new omnigo and it looks cool. it reminds me of the table
top arcade games (pac man, ms. pac man, etc.). according to the video clip they are going
to place it in public places first. they did not specify the price of it. i wouldn't be
surprised if it was a few thousands of dollars. hopefully microsoft will get this os
right where it wouldn't crash or have any "backdoors" for trojans, viruses, etc. to
come in. maybe they should get mac & linux involved to help. :-)
lc: i gather you have paid for all your ms goods... of course we can all be svckers to
the cause. reading between the lines i'm guessing the low life troller tolls 3rd world
countries and loves to use their ethnic status for incoherent call centres. or why not
bypass all those activation issues and obtain a pirate copy of ms's os's. if you read my
post i suggested "when xp dies", not "when ms dies". observe!
i heard this knews last year on tele sounds pretty kl
it sounds like this is going to be basically the os behind ms surface, and well the
surface technology has been common knowledge for years now, anyone would have guessed this
was coming next.
will it still have bsod
