Can Vista SP1 help polish Vista’s tarnished image?

Microsoft has dismissed much of the Vista criticisms as coming from hard-core and hard-to-satisfy techies who always want more and better. But even some of Microsoft’s biggest customers and closest developers are going public with their reasons why a number of things in Vista that are just plain bad. And these are people who have been working with Vista builds for years, not those feeling panicked when confronted with the new and unfamiliar.
Can Microsoft do anything to stop the Vista bashing? I think it can. But I’m not sure officials are willing to change course at this point.
A quick look back: Microsoft had no choice but to finally get Vista out there. Microsoft released Vista to manufacturing in November 2006. Company officials knew that many hardware and software vendors, tired of trying to keep up with Microsoft’s changing ship schedules, had decided to wait until the code was final before trying to make sure their wares were Vista-compatible, resulting in tardy driver and application support. They knew system performance and reliability wasn’t at the levels they had hoped.

this is ofcourse common knowledge. discussing it is useless. its microsoft ! lol
vista = windows me
long live xp :)
vista = windows me2
just like gw bush, stay with a bad idea no matter what everyone says. live in a dream
world and force what you want on everyone else, even if something else, like xp, is
better!
i have used vista and love it, it performs much better for me then win xp did, and i
haven't have problems with compatibility yet. soon vista will become the standard. oh,
and by the way, win xp had a much worse launch then vista did. look it up.
you'll be rooting for vista soon, you vista bashers, when windows 7 comes out. sure,
it'll probably require 8gb ram but by that time imagine the average computer.
so
shut your shit
vista haters:
wears a "hooter" pan and drives a bicycle
vista lovers:
wear a suit and drives a limousine
wonder what linux site looks like??! even chinese hates it!
admit it! don't
lie
with vista ultimate/xp pro dual boot, i now use vista 99% of the time now that a few
small bugs were worked out. nothing major.
even w2k has more functionality to offer then what vista does. at least vista looks
pretty which reminds me of a dumb blond joke...
vista is the only true os. 95/98/me/xp where all betas, vista is the meat on the plate
but this slice of beef is way to expensive. big mistake billy wank gates.
why does this happen every time a new version of windows comes out?
stop living in
the past!!!
vista is here to stay. xp is gone. just move on with your lives. xp maybe
faster that vista, but it was the same way with 2000 and xp. everyone complained that xp
was bad when it came out, but it seems that since vista came out xp is the good one.
people, just grow up and move on.
might as well get use to it now. when they sunset xp, you won't have a choice. i've
used it since march, no problems here.
but, my computer is "recent" and does not
have the hw issues.
lot of teens
even defragmenting my hdd, i have to confirm it 3 times, signed on as admin account and
still have to confirm 3 times to defrag a hdd, i was about to slam my laptop to the
ground. turned off uac crap and there are still few bugs and driver issues
you arseholes who keep saying vista=me have no idea what you are even talking about. i
hate people you see something on the internet and keep repeating it. where would you
phucking people be today if it was not for microsoft? you would be using polish windows,
aka mac. shut the phuck up with the vista=me shite and learn how to use your computer.
vista is a huge improvement over xp, yes the drivers need work and some other things need
tweaking, but since you cannot run vista on your pentium 75 with 32mbs of ram and your 2
gig harddrive you get pissed off. my computer is only a p iv 3.0ghz with 2 gigs of ram
and vista runs great. windows 2k is shite too, get over it and move onto vista.
computers evolve everyday, so vista will never be perfect, but ms will do its best to keep
up with all the fixes it can. just wait till mac because more mainstream, the viruses
will start rolling in. phuck all you vista complainers, eat shite with xp.
vista is the best thing that ever happened to apple. :)
it would be fun to see how much fast and more solid this system would be with xp over
vista. 2x as fast or more i would guess. but like the turtles in the comcast ads, you like
it slow... ugg... i bet u use dial up on your vista unit.. cuz you like it slow..
i dual boot with xp and vista, just bought a new notebook with factory vista and changed
to xp.
i dont play games and dont care for pretty effects. my computer is a tool
that needs to work, i can rely on xp to do what i need it to do with the hardware testing
i do. i cant rely on vista for that... maybe some day.
the first time in 5 years that
i saw a bsod was on vista
if toasters is your level then you may not understand, but some programming blocks are in
place to limit uses of programs within vista. add a shortcut to a program in the send to
menu and see how many file parameters can be passed. 4 to 5 in vista (over x amount
passes 0) and 50 to 100 in w2k or xp. the send to menu does not even cascade like it did
in w2k or xp. the list keeps going on of ms downgraded features and plenty of them removed
altogether to make a hollow log called vista. users complain to me about programming bugs,
i find that are in fact vista bugs and limitations. no wonder plenty of developers refuse
to support vista...
when xp came out, people didn't like it either. the only difference between xp and vista
is that vista customers are paying a price increase to cover the pirating losses. xp pro
started at $250 retail, ultimate is $400, any questions.....
Uh...we know this...
