Why buy a genuine Windows Vista when pirated is easier and better?
section: windows, for your questions: KezNews forum, 8.8.2007
Tip: Click here to update all your PC's outdated driversRecently Microsoft had a 50% price cut for Home Basic and Home Premium Editions of Windows Vista. The price cut is mainly targeted at China which has the 2nd highest software piracy rate in the world after Vietnam. Thanks to thepodest for this post on the blog.
The reason is to compete with pirate software market. Pirated version is better, why buy an expensive genuine copy? I would like to share my thoughts on this.
Consider these facts:
Genuine
1. Limited number of reinstalltions of Windows Vista.
2. Activation via internet or phone activation.
3. Hardware upgrade problems.
4. It’s expensive.
Pirated
1. No reinstallations problem.
2. No any kind of activation, easy to install cracks, pre-cracked Windows Vista.
3. Noone cares if your hardware changes.
4. Yeb. It’s free :P
No features are missing with pirated Windows Vista. They are identical. Why buy genuine?
Why buy a real copy of Windows Vista?? Activation is the pain in ass. You can install your pirated copy of Windows Vista many times as you like, with a genuine copy you have to do a phone activation and explain them why you need to reinstall and of course there’s only a limited number times you can do this. Also if you feel like upgrading your hardware with “genuine” copy of Vista installed, think again because you license for Windows Vista might be taken away and having to reactivate since Windows Vista activation system keeps track of your hardware and suspect that you have pirated Vista installed same thing might happen if you install drivers for your hardware.
As you can see pirated gives you more flexibility and easier installation. You see that by buying genuine copy is just having to activate and run into license problems.
Windows Genuine Advantage???? Think again, Windows Genuine Disadvantage sounds right to me.

Show all comments after having to call in to activate my copy of xp because internet activation started to
fail, i emailed microsoft about this. they just gave me a generic response and said
they'd forward it on to their activation team. lot of good that did...
bottom
line: the consumer isn't their number one priority - their stock holders are.
and maybe you could actually be a stock holder too :-o
thou shalt not steal, duh!
if they're going to pirate somebody, we want it to be us rather than somebody else.
you guys all talk about vista like it's, i dunno, _good_. it's a joke. the linux
"craze" might have died down a few years ago, but newer distros (ubuntu 7.04, 7.10,
pclinuxos) all school m$'s a$$ into the ground...
why buy vista?? do you really need vista?? oh my good may be you are a dummy...!!!
why buy a genuine vista when you can use a genuine windows xp [pirated]
be
smart!!! men
i dislike vista but i want it for crysis and dx10, if xp ever has dx10/10.1 or any newer
dx working in harmony then i'll discard the thought of re-installing my fully working
pirated vista ultimate o/s.
microsoft is working with the oil mafia to enslave you all. don't you see what's
happening yet?
good article, again we see how this wga crap punishes the honest and almost rewards the
pirated versions, because they don't have to deal with all that nonsense. so, yeah, go
genuine, if you like being a tool and told how you can use your software that you just
dropped a buttload of money on.
i myself have genuine vista home premium (received it as part of the free windows vista
upgrade program), and a pirated windows vista ultimate which i have installed. the pirated
copies are better overall but u still have to be careful not to install any updates from
microsoft that might disable it completely. genuine versions however; are a pain in the
ass to use and activation is not always easy as the article stated.
if you're scared about the feds, buy genuine, install pirated! they can't sue you
because they don't know how often you (re)installed it on your pc. and you can sleep at
night for supporting bill gates in his ever expanding universe...
i like my mac os x 10.4.10 tiger installed on my amd!!!...
:)) haha!...
it's a
big finger to windows and microsoft!!...
http://www.osx86project.org
now
trying mac os x leopard pre-released to install on my pc!!.. :d
http://www.osx86scene.com
go to hell bill gates and vista!!...
really lets drop the attitude and get down to the nitty gritty. you are cheap who can't
be bothered paying for something. next time you get robbed and go "oh my god someone's
stolen my computer" then tough, its just been "pirated" that's all.
activation
and reinstalls are not the big problem you make it out to be, i have never in all the time
i have had a computer, ever had problems with either of these things and my bet is most of
you haven't either. let's all be sheep.
baaaaa!
...you must really enjoy using a 386 with a 20 meg hard drive.
1)
reactivating is a gigantic pain if you're any sort of tinkerer
2) vista isn't
worth the money they are asking, not even close.
3) cracked installers work
better than real installers. i own a licensed copy of windows xp, but i choose to use the
cracked-and-stripped-down "performance" editions. they run faster by 2-3x, and they
support sata much better on install, a genuine xp cd won't install on my system with a
reference intel board period, even with the "proper" f6 drivers from intel.
i guess the reason why people buy retail vista is because they dont want to deal with the
hassle of pirated activation problems, software updates and actively searching for work
around constantly.
i used dr. h's crack and still have it genuine until now, i update, i just right clicked
the validation update and am using auto-update from november 2006 until now ! + the
cracked ultimate is much better.
well i have an asus laptop/tablet, with vista business. now install the oem version from
asus you'll get a lot of crap and it runs crap. so install clean, hey the sticker code
won't work, so you have to call. shit i am going away on a sailing boat, what if i need
to reinstall?? i cant use the software i paid for?? so i use a pirated version, actually
the pirated versions have better "support" then ms!!
are you so retarded that you get joy out of spamming and impersonating a 6 year old
microsoft employee?
seriously, by the look of your spam around here lately, you
have little or no life.
every time you spam, it doesn't make you look cool and
it doesn't make you funny and i think you know that too unless your extremely retarded.
do us all a favour and either jump off a cliff or turn your computer off right
now and leave the internetz.
someday you all will wake up and buy a mac and never go back.
the mac turns into 'not crap'
get out of the windows site mac boi, and take
your crap osx comments back to the land of "i don't have a life"
vista the 5 year wait then at least 2 more before its usable.i wouldnt use that piece of
**** if bill gave it to me.most of its flash was stolen from mac osx or others.and the new
security is a joke.your no safer from attack ,might as well be using 3.1 yes use a pirate
copy.you get better tech support from the hackers than ms.
there is 6bil people in the world right? not 7. also, babys would not want to buy vista.
so that makes about 3 - 4 bil people now. then, most familys have 3 people to a computer,
so thats 1 bil copies of vista being sold for each computer. then lets say 1 bil people
living on the steets in the world, plus a lot of others who cant afford to buy computers
or even want vista. that brings the number down a hell of a lot.
i own 2 legal copies of xp, bought with 2 machines. neither machine will let me install
either copy. ubuntu has given me back control of my machines, and is many times faster,
especially the 64 bit os on amd. so if anyone wants 2 copies of xp, just look in my trash.
why we should buy a genuine when there is a good replica of the genuine with same
function and feature at affordable price. who cares the microsoft will loss billions of
dollar. they are all riches guy in the world they will not become poor through piracy.....
at least we patronized there product and used it at low cost.....
to all windows
vista pirated version viva to piracy.... hehehe....
its so funny when people try to post as bill gates lol
pirating a copy of vista is stealing to some extent, but its not like anybody is loosing
anything, other than the multi-trillianaire bill gates--- oh and vista is the best, most
secure, most stable o/s i have ever seen, mac o/s, are you serious???that stuffs a joke
what a constant peice of crap.
now it comes to the point where people discover pirated ones are easier to use. hmmm...
i wonder who are still dumb enough to buy computer software, or spend any money
when it could've been avoided.
we are the smart ones that won't get put into prison.
the only reason any single person would go to prison is if they are selling the pirated
software. i haven't bought software for almost 3 years now. the only software i actually
"buy" comes with a new piece of hardware i bought. i have four genuine copies of windows
xp but i found the best activation hack for any version of xp. now i never have to
activate any of them when i reinstall.
i'm planning on buying vista ultimate but i probably won't open the package at all and
still keep on using the cracked version. i reinstall/reghost at least 3 times per year
when the os starts to break/slowdown because of frequent install/uninstall of sharewares
and other tryout ware that often go wrong...
if you read your eula, you are set to go to jail for not using what you paid for. just
buying it is not legal. as soon as you buy it, even if you never open it, your are bound
by law to use it on one unit only. don't think so, just read about it at ms or in your
eula. they make the laws and bush rubber stamps them. google and see for your self. i can
not make this $hit up!
vista is only stable for the first few weeks of install, then it becomes a bag of shit,
bogged down ,bloated, slow and buggy, crashes frequently , forgets its own drivers and
settings, removes files without your say-so and then eventually dies.not worth snot, so
i'm not paying snot.
how the fack does an operating system get bogged down in 2 weeks or bloated. either it
starts out bloated or patches and shit make it bloated. it doesnt just self bloat in 2
weeks time. its also very easy to forget drivers. especially when you dont have to
remember them in the first place. removes files without your say so? do you realize how
costly that would be to release this to corporations? quit running longhorn builds from
2004 and read a facking harry potter book so it will help you understand more about how
technology works.
i cracked the vista and it is working as usual as 30 days trial. so, there is not
necessory to buy the origional version. can be use as pirates to save money because
tomorrow there will be more latest and have to buy it. we have to capacity to pirate and
can enjoy the world.
the people who buy vista are the ones who (like gearheads of the past) will pay for
something a little faster and don't mind the work of having to tweak it. i switched from
xp pro to vista64 and saw a big improvement in speed. it's never crashed on me either.
so pirates, don't complain about a system that doesn't work. buy a copy, then you can
complain. and don't be so cheap as to buy an upgrade, you'd better do a fresh install.
i love vista and run both 64 and 32 on my dual boot system.
those like "what are you 12" that endorse vista are usually the ones that are to scared
to experiment with the os never mind push it to it limits, because if they did they would
soon find out that vista will fall over. maybe in a year or so when it reaches sp3
giv ubuntu a try get a free copy from shipit.ubuntu.com
what's ubuntu then?
where is a copy of vista business premium or better availaqble.
thank you
