Jobs: Windows is hell

After Mossberg asked Jobs about the popularity of Apple's iTunes music store software and Jobs said more than 300 million copies were in circulation, Mossberg replied: "So that makes you an enormous Windows software developer".
"We are," said Jobs.
"How does that make you feel?"
"We've got cards and letters from lots of people that say iTunes is their favorite app on Windows," Jobs said, then shrugged, paused and smiled. "It's like giving a glass of ice water to somebody in hell," he said.
Although the comment likely won't rank with one of Jobs' most famous Windows swipes -- his 1996 "The only problem with Microsoft is they just have no taste, they have absolutely no taste" -- the remark got a loud laugh from the D: audience.
Ironically, during a later Q&A with attendees, Jobs acknowledged that he has read some of the entries on "The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs" blog, where an unidentified writer known as Fake Steve Jobs (FSJ) poses as the Apple CEO.
On the blog today, FSJ commented on "his" Windows = hell riff. "The analogy isn't perfect," said FSJ. "You can't get out of hell. You can get out of Windows."

the main reason i don't own an ipod is itunes. i don't need it, i don't want it.
i see just as many macs come back for repair as i do windows machines. that
says a lot given that there are more windows machines out there. motherboards on macs
fail all the time. imacs over heat. you think they'd learn from their mistakes when
they built the cube.
oh and the only reason why windows has issues with
spyware and viruses is because it owns the market share. more machines, more users, more
market share, more popular...that makes it a target. if roles were reversed macs would
have the same problem. they are hardly invincible from those issues.
windows
isn't perfect but neither is osx. at least with windows you know what to expect. with
macs, they have to lie to you in their advertising to lure you into buying one. nice try
jobs!
everybody attacks the windows os's, but they haven't invented anything better and more
friendly (market dominion) yet! like blow jobs said, windows have security issues because
it owns the market, period!
overall, neither are perfect os's. the most important review of either os is your own.
either way you go, it's all about personal taste...........
sour apple
totally blows, needed for some ipods. too many running processes on startup
i admit, ipods s*ck, oh god it s*cks
i my self have tried osx and it interface is not as good as it is advertized. blow job
always lies about windows. i love vista it has far slick interface as compared with osx.
screw windows media player, screw itunes.
go amarok :d
