just what i needed. works also for me. thanks!
burnt the iso image and went through the process of resetting the admin account. it
didn't work for me this is the error it gives "unable to log you on because of an
account restriction". this sounds like a local policy setting but don't know how to
bypass it.
anyone knows why i get this error? using xp home edition sp2.

esco- you can't log into the admin account in windows xp home unless your in safe mode
use tweaknt 1.2.1 and convert xp home to xp pro and then you can access the admin account
as normal
thanks drakan for the info. would you by chance know why this account restriction is
placed on the pc from the oem? or is it because they don't include the "computer
management" option like in xp pro?
does this same account restriction apply
to vista home edition like in xp home edition? or can you access the admin account in all
vista editions without going into safe mode? thanks in advance.

works a treat on ultimate
i don't know exactly why but it is home so maybe they hope the user won't mess the
computer up that bad, or they like to leave a backdoor open to hackers! i don't actually
know though. as for vista, i don't know. anybody else know?
