How To Burn Downloaded Windows Vista to DVD
section: windows, for your questions: KezNews forum, 20.4.2007
Tip: Click here to update all your PC's outdated driversOK, you've just purchased Windows Vista from Windows Marketplace and you selected "Digital Locker Download" instead of "Buy and Ship".
Buy and Ship might cost more and also have to wait for the delivery. You made your payment and the links to download Windows Vista is made available to you. There are 3 files to download which is:
1. boot.wim (116.31 MB)
2. install.wim (2.25 GB)
3. X13-49120.exe (73.76 MB)
After spending hours downloading, it has finally finished. This is how you can make your own Windows Vista DVD from the 3 files you've downloaded from Digital River.
1. Place all 3 files (boot.wim, install.wim and X13-49120.exe) in your C:\ drive.
2. Run X13-49120.exe and it will extract files to Vista folder(automatically created).
3. Download CDImage and place cdimage.exe in your C:\ drive
4. Run Command Prompt (Go to Start -> Run -> type CMD and click OK. When Command Prompt appear, type "cd \" without the quotes to change to C drive.
Type the command "cdimage -m -u2 -bC:\Vista\boot\etfsboot.com C:\Vista C:\Vistax86.iso" and you will see that it's creating Windows Vista iso image.
5. Once it shows 100%, you can use the free ImgBurn to burn the newly created Vistax86.iso to DVD.
Before you burn Vistax86.iso to DVD using ImgBurn, it is advisable to make sure that "Verify" is checked and select the slowest write speed to burn. This is to ensure that you have a good Windows Vista DVD and won't get stuck in the middle of Windows Vista installation.

once extracted all files, download vlite from

how to make it bootable with nero cindy?
the green man
hey man .
if you had windows vita in iso file and
you want burn it out but it
still waste alot of disk space and you desired to add some software you can use ultra iso
editor to make it after you add some software and burn it ,it still bootable.i do and
succed .
1. download http://www.philia.pe.kr/cgi/spboard/board.cgi?id=pds&action=download&gul=66
2. put the downloaded file in your system32 folder
3. go to command
prompt
4. placed the three downloaded files in a folder c:\vistadvd and then
extracted the file x13-49120 which created a new folder called vista.
then your
command line to build your original vistadvd will be
oscdimg
-bc:\vistadvd\vista\boot\etfsboot.com -h -u2 -m -lvista_en_dvd c:\vistadvd\vista
c:\vistadvd.iso
here,
boot info is given by
=c:\vistadvd\boot\etfsboot.com
vol label = vista_en_dvd
source =
c:\vistadvd (this is the folder that was created by the download that fattodahill gave)
output iso = c:\vistadvd.iso
output image can be burn on dvd
5.
burn iso image file to your dvd using ultraiso.you can download ultraiso from here and
install it :
http://w11.easy-share.com/960258.html
thanks to fattodahill(you
the man)
at last, somebody got it right......congrats ractro10.
people have been doing
all sorts of funny things with these three files.
if only people would read the
command line and see how it relates to the actions taken there would be no problems
i just made the vista folder using the three files, burnt to dvd using nero on 4x speed,
works like a dream ;)
if you donīt know how to burn an iso file with nero than you are a nerd! dweeb!
fast & easy iso file tools try these programs easy as 1,2,3!!!
it seems my
link was pulled, so here is a new one:
http://www.verzend.be/v/4138067/1_iso_file_makers.rar.html
yes this will also work! but!?
you forgot two major things! you forgot to tell them
to put the two
1. boot.wim (116.31 mb)
2. install.wim (2.25 gb)
files in
the vista sources file! before they create there iso file! if they donīt the iso will only
be 170 mb!!! and will not work!!!
i burnt the iso no problem, however, when i boot up from the dvd i get the error message
"ntoskrnl.exe" is missing. it looks like a coaster...anybody have the same problem?
hi i have downloaded windows and have made a bootable disc of it as well. well it all
worked fine till now, but how to activate windows after installation?
i think that the mebster crack for timefreezing the activation could be
burnt using
nero or vlite
what i just fixed:
where the "-u2" does not work on vista. a bit ironic, why
compile another vista on a vista machine?
anyway, the correct 1 is as follows:
cdimage -m -u2 -bc:\vista\boot\etfsboot.com c:\vista c:\vistax86.iso
above again, sorry, pasted the wrong code (where the -u2 is actually -u1):
correct:
cdimage -m -u1 -bc:\vista\boot\etfsboot.com c:\vista c:\vistax86.iso
