i applied the fix a few days ago. everything was working perfectly. well, yesterday i applied the latest update by microsoft and you guessed it. i am not activated and have 24 days to acitvate. the time coincides when i installed vista. sorry guys, we have to start over.

i have,too, all the updates and everything is very ok !!!

yesterday came back at home late befor sleep i turn on my pc to check my mail.
surprise black desktop and to get accese to my pc i had massage hat i do first the update and my pc wil be restart.after reboot evrything was normal??

i bought the full version of home premium edition. i know what an idiot i am on jan 30th and then bought a laptop with vista on it ultimate is better than the others, but i still have it working perfectly.

hey, thanks. i downloaded it an runned it and it didn't work. i think it's because first time i runned the first link i didn't noticed that i needed to look for the "slic". so i just continued, i think there were no slic. maybe that's why it's not working now. if i want to start all over again, do i have to flash my bios and format my windows drives? thanks for your help mat8.

how do i check what brand of motherboard i have??
