microsoft recently released an update to kill the 180 day activation crack, and now i'm sitting with a pc that will only run safe mode or ask for an online activation + cd key otherwise, can this crack be done through safe mode?

180 days is kms activation and has nothing to do with retail or oem activations :)

in the readme.txt file is written that it works only under x86 system!! timerstopper for x64 systems is better - you can set in update options that you wanna choose the updates which you like to install

your best off doing a fresh clean install, no updates, then aplling the crack

this works but keznews is so far behind the times. there are now single run .exe's that do all the steps for you. one reboot and it is done. you can find them on your favorite site.. demonoid. just turn off uac and "run as administrator". look for the one uploaded by shahjinn. works perfect!

and it works even if you had a timestopper.

this crack works great. i've tested with vista rtm under vm ware on a hp pc. the biosemulation i choosed was asus en works great. better then timerstopper!

it works. but i think it only works with the x86 version. they have yet to release the 64 bit version from what i hear. i installed this on my trial pc and it's been working pretty smoothly for over 12 hours and counting.

anyway, i've been getting feedback from some business/enterprise users that it stops working after a few hours.

downloaded the one click version from torrentspy but it disappeared after a few hours.

will this work forever and is it safe for us to download updates from microsoft???

i have used vista aio (winbeta) with ultimate installed since january. the ultimate key didn't work with the asus emulation but used the dell ultimate key and vista ultimate is now activated and....no....i am not using a dell pc.

the bsod screen says that royal.sys (the emulation driver) is causing the bsod.

should i try an different emulation?


i've read the pkeys.txt and it does not have anything listed for dell. do these keys work for the specific manufacture only or will they work for other name brands as well?

after doing a little research in the forums, it looks like it will work with any manufacture and i found a link in there to download the dell oem version of ultimate. it is a torrent download so that will take me a few days to do.

i see this works perfectly, but, when i do a right-click on "computer" and then click on propeties, will there stand beyond the subject "windows activation" (the last one) windows is activated, or will there stand, u have 30 days left to activate ur version of windows vista ?

this is a bit imporant for me, can u tell me what there will stand ? ^^

it's not a file that is created. it's in the directory where you have the crack downloaded named certs. when you reboot, you type the path of the *.xmr-ms file that is inside the certs directory.

for those who have the 035 error, try to put the file from certs folder to c:\ and change the command behind the slmgr.vbs. worked in my case, and i had the error before as well. thanx to paradox!

ok i installed it and it worked. then i rebooted and it worked again. i installed all the updates and my hardware drivers.

the next time i reboot it bsod's and says i am trying to overwrite read only memory.

i can boot if i unstinstall the emulation.

anyone else have this problem after updates or installs?

this works for now. m$ will kill this like they did the volume keys for xp corporate. since this relies on a few oem keys - that m$ will quickly discover - the next logical step is for m$ to stop these keys from validating.

they did it with xp corporate. corporate keys that used to validate but got leaked on warez/bittorrent sites no longer validate.

a keygen that provides unique keys is the only possible fix. i'm still waiting.

in the readme file it states for x86 only, i'm guessing 'real men' don't read the readme files?

from what i've heard and read uhh yes! indeed it will 'phone home' to 'validate' from "time to time"(eula) haven't seen a figure like 180days, either it will 'pass' or 'fail' if or when it does 'fail' it will reduce features like aero or other fancy crap.

well you 'failed' to 'validate' and no legit license key so you can be 'activated'? no problem! this skips validation procedures(linking with m$) and makes you 'activated' once more, reinstating your features...

well i don't have any features but i'll fast-forward in time and see if i even have to 'validate' or whatever, i'll report back.

microsoft will kill this quickly just like they did to corporate xp pro keys.

this "fix" seems to rely on a few oem serial numbers. once ms finds out about them they will prevent them from validating.

this happened with corporate xp keys. corporate xp keys that used to validate got leaked on warez/bittorrent sites. now these same keys no longer validate.

this will happen with these oem keys.

the only fix is a keygen that provides unique keys. still waiting.

ok, i installed vista a few times to find out the following facts.

-this crack does not work after applying the rc1-key trick
-the crack seems to be working forever, there is no "end of license" date noticed anywhere
-and omg it even passes the genuine advantage check!

anyway with all these "how do i's" theres a plain text readme.txt file you follow step by step in plain english!

i still think this bypasses 'vailidation' and just 'activates' it.

well i reformatted and it seems that after i install the crack it is fine. when when i install the forceware 15.0 drivers i get the bsod. looks like i'm going back to timerstop.

my boot crashed as i install by right click on the ini. it dont work when i use the exe. maybe it's not suitable for my mobo?

i went to compare with old.vista compare to the clean install vista. i remove the royal.sys and my vista works again.

i tried anything and everything from taking ownership of the files to full control of the files to 'working as administrator' and blah blah blah... i still get the above error code. please help...

you are best to do a fresh install, i tried and got errors before i formatted and re-installed vista, after that it worked spot on!! big thanxs guys!!

it works for those having problems move the certs file directly to drive c:\ and dont forget to put c:\certs\asus or scer or hewlett-packard etc and diable uac and reboot before you try again

i installed the retail version of ultimate about three weeks ago and used the timer stopper method. it worked fine. yesterday, i tried the paradox method, without re-installing, and it worked perfectly. thanks paradox.

this is the best one out there. just unpack, run, reboot, and you're done! tried all the december 31, 2099 install and timer stoppers and couldn't get the to work. now, this one is a breeze!

integrate all files into a vista dvd, that's the last miles.

hye thre ppl.. i hve alredi activated my vista ultimate using the rc1 method n i was hoping 2 make it genuine using this paradox method.. however everything went well (from the oem bios emulation till the oem cert installation), im getting an error msg saying that the key is no longer valid when i run the oem key..
has ms blocked tis key or am i having some prob?

first i wanna say. this crack works and works and works good if executed as instructed but. there is a catch or maybe i shall say bug with it...
i have an asus motherboard and this crack works perfect as long as i dont update the chipset driver....
but, when updating the mother board chipset driver to the latest version i immediately get b.s.o.d (blue screen of death) error, and when the computer fails to boot into windows. this error dont occur otherwise....so, i see this crack as good, but it needs some more working on, to get rid of this bug...

this error is caused by 1 or 2 things...you are not running the
slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\asus.xrm-ms
command with uac off / admin mode,
or
you copied the acer.xrm-ms file instead of the asus one, lol

my motherboard is asus alsos o i think we have found the common factor with the error. now to get it fixed.

it does not matter what x86 pc you have ( even a dell ) it will work .

i have to admit there are really stupid things being asked here . if you do not know how to install this crack then you have no hope .

yeah, i tried it but it just reverts to the timer. it depends on that specific bios emulation. i don't know why i'm even worried, the one click timerstop is just as good lol.

i'm not getting any bsod with my asus p4p800-x mobo but getting bsod with the msi k7n2 delta. after installing the emulation, i reboot and get bsod. it's probably a bug.

you must have admin privileges and i recommend that you run slmgr.vbs once with no parameters to call up the help window. i am no vb coder, but this was very simple imo.

skip step 1 since wista is already installed. follow steps 2,3, and 4 exactly. (step 5)i tried this just yesterday and i have had no problems since. i had the same rc1 frankenbuild. no time-stoppers; (good till 8/29/07..lol) i just could not get the latest 1.17.. wga updt. so while reading the text file, pdx stated instead of a fresh install that 'persuasion' may be needed for prior installs and their associated work around(i love a challenge!). to make this work, i had to rebuild the sys lic files. use switch ( -rilc), it takes a few minutes to show completion; wait 4 it. and ( -ipk nnnnn-....-nnnnn) to finish the process. step 6 -dlv to verify. kudos to pdx!

i updated soon after and to my delight, the newest wga was not available. i am assuming that it did not appear because there was no need for it. i am permanently licensed( so far) :)

to those skeptics, this can be used over the top of an existing timerstop crack and it's not just 180 days. it's permanent!

now all we need is for this to be made into a neat little installer package thing that does all the work for us :d

there are few ways to do this:
- search for royalty named files and uninstall them.
- register royalty files as malware in defender definitions - works even if you change the file name.
- wga detection of leaked keys.

this is the second day of having installed this crack and things are still running smoothly. this might just be the real thing. anyway, i think the good old tip of turning off windows defender and manually updating windows is still a good idea.

i've discovered my problem.the crack work's fine but is not possible to update the chipset driver(nvidia in my case).after upgrade pc frozen with usually blu screen of death and says royal.sys is the problem.i think and wish that they can work on for better results.


tried on vmware, the crack works. also tried on an acer aspire 5051 (turion mk37 cpu) under ultimate and business with asus, hp and acer bios. no luck, still got the timer. i have to stick with timerstop.

yes, this emulator works perfect but is incompatible with parts of the nvidia nforce4 chipsetdriver! (bluescreen)


after running the oemtool and rebooting, i get a blue screen saying:

an attempt was made to write to read-only-memory

my desktop pc is a hp pavilion
i then remove power and can reboot in safe mode and remove the bios emulation.

i ran everything as indicated like disabling uac etc.

what can i do now?

yes, it's safe. but microsoft may develop some extensions to the wga which detects and disables the driver....

bsod on my asus board. back to timer stop. it don't like my nvidia chipser.

so i've tried everything. the certificate installs fine, but when i try to install the key i get the following error: 0xc004f050 run 'slui.exe 02x2a 0c004f050' to display the error text

worked on vista ultimate x86. i have also downloaded all windows updates and its still working.

i wiped my backup drive, installed ultimate clean, ran the paradox program, then went to windows update. installed all available updates (except the foreign language packs), rebooted. still shows activated, and windows update still works.

it doesnt work for me.. after it says "click okay to generate key" it just sits there.. how long do i have to wait?

the facts:

1) this crack works!
2) i insist this crack works!
3) this is not even a crack, its a hole in the microsoft activation procedure.
4) this crack is offline. it does not call to microsoft to activate. i have activated my ultimate vista with the internet unplugged.
4) in the future(sooner or later) microsoft will deliver an update which will identify our key and say our vista is "non genuine". fortunatelly microsoft uses to be very slow hitting back.
5)when microsoft release a patch there will be sooner a counter patch. its like the windows xp wga situation.
6)for now better disable automatic updates. and just update after checking the foruns and understanding what every released update does.
7) dont botter instaling vista if you dont have a power user pc. its useless.
i have a p4 3ghz ht, with 1gb of ram. and a nvidia 7800. top configuration on the agp era. believe me vista s.ucks in my machine. i dont know if more ram will do some great difference. waiting for a future core duo hardware.

i use the autopatcher for xp and vista in stead of windows update. you can decide wich update you want and ignore the wga shit. for drivers use the hardware manufacturar drivers.

also disable defender, soon or later mickeysoft will check de oem and royal.sys driver!!!

i've got the timestopper crack installed so maybe it's that i didn't try this on a fresh install but when i installed the asus driver and rebooted, i got a bsod due to "royal.sys" just as the loading bar to go into windows comes on on boot-up.

to repair this i had to boot in "previously known good configuration" mode and then delete "royal.sys" and "royal.inf" from system folders...

really i don't understand why some of you complains about problems if you already own an acer, asus, hp product. try this: don't install the royal driver. just add the licence inf and the oem serial. you may be lucky to have an activated vista withot to have any ctack ;)

i got this same error code. i followed exactly what the instruction says and still no luck. i tried with the oem tool one way with no luck and tried the royal.inf way with no luck. i am using the asus oem key. i can't figure what i'm doing wrong here. the same error code kept on coming up. i have a dell inspiron 6400 laptop by the way.

well, this cracks works fine, but some specific tasks r not responding when they r clicked! i noticed that before applying this crack, right clicking on computer, properties, then choosing device manager under tasks doesn't work, u have to access it from somewhere else. also, under tasks in user accounts, the two tasks: configure advanced user profile properties, and change my environment variables dont work! i donno y this is happening but i would like to know if anybody encountered this issue... thx

2 days ago, i used paradox and succeed.
but now,i installed the newest nvidia nforce4 amd driver for vista, bsod caused by royal.sys appeared.
in detail, i'm using my vista32bit on nvraid0 hdd.
vista32bit doesn't support nvraid in default, so i install xp on nvraid hdd first, and upgrade it to vista, so succeed to use vista32bit on my nvraid0 hdd.
and then i succeeded to use paradox normally with vista32bit inbox drivers.
(of cource i installed graphic and sound drivers and it made no problems.)
sorry for my cheep sentence, finally what i want to say is that royal.sys makes bsod conflicting with some drivers like nforce4 vista32bit driver.
and the only way to use paradox and nvraid at same time is that install xp on nvraid at first and upgrade it to vista.
i'm happy if someone read this sentence and avoid their troubles.
and i started to bruteforcing again.
my cpu is burning...

i've got the newest nvidia nforce4 drivers, and a blue screen of death ...

i've got 2 computers.
the first one, with gigabyte motherboard and p4, the crack installation was a succes.
for the other one, an asus motherbord with nforce2 chipset with an amd xp2400 and fx5200, i've got the bsod (with message royal could not read or write on memory)

the problem seems to affect not only nforce4 chipset, but also nforce2.



apparently ms has fixed this.. i've installed the recent updates and now royal.sys gives a blue screen. seems to be kb931573.

i installed kb931573 before and after (in each cases on my trying) with paradox and it didn't cause bsod.
but, when i installed nvidia sata driver update (from windows update), it caused bsod.
we should doubt m/b drivers, i think.
nvidia chipset users must avoid installing any m/b drivers which seemed to be not necessary.
except for graphics and sound drivers, vista inbox drivers are enough.
be careful.

sorry, i don't have any install-able product keys so i don't know what happens when use paradox with already-key-inputed vista.
but i can say that my past 3 times challange to use paradox with keyless-installed vista are all successfully.
so i reccomend you,
1. claen install
2. keyless install
3. if you're nvidia chipset user, be careful to install any m/b drivers (from nvidia official site download, or from windoes update)
then enjoy paradox.
and...
if you encountered bsod unfortunately, when you installed paradox's royal.sys or installed any m/b drivers, select the "last known good configuration" to recover your vista.
i encounterd bsod with royal.sys atleast 10 times or over during my experiment, but i could recover my vista selecting "last known good configuration".
or... if your vista wouldn't recover with "last known good configuration", you should beat f8 key at your pc's boot and enter safe mode and delete royal.sys and royal.inf from c:\windows\system32\drivers and c:\windows\system32\drvstore.
when i couldn't recover my vista from bsod with "last known good configuration", i did so (delete royal.sys from system) and recovered.
never give up.let's enjoy paradox.
and if you notice any driver troubles which is not mentioned at above comments, please tell us here.

i confirmed on my "dfi lanparty ut nf4 sli-d" m/b that paradox works with vista inbox drivers.
and i feel no need to install any m/b drivers on addition.
you can install graphics and sound drivers, but shouldn't install any m/b drivers provided from nvidia official and windows update.
other windows update (vista software update and extras) are safe to install.

for those nvidia chipset user you might want to try the alternative method since the initial does not work properly. and yes you will need a clean vista in order to get it work (if you have done the timerlock, you will have to reformat a fresh windows). tested many times and everytime it works.... many thanks!

you have to right click in every application u r running and chose run as administraor, if u want to start the command promt also, and be sure to start it from start menu, right click and then also run as administrator.

my windows ultimate x64 version is cracked and works like a charm for user of this version in a x64 platform use my frien google and somethings called "windows vista activator 2.0 beta - 03st march 2007 - by clony" this is the real one for x64 now,i have to smoke a blunt see you later,of course this shit isn't a fake or a virus and it workkkkkkkkkssssssssss

i used this crack, but after i rebooted after installing the emulation driver, it goes to a blue screen saying it is royal.sys is trying to write to read only memory. i have to reboot into safe mode to uninstall the driver before it will boot properly. any ideas? i did use a retail version of vista copied from a friend. is it possible that this crack does not work with the retail? cause the retail vista won't let the driver load.

hi, if you really want the software so badly why don't you buy it? concerning the price? there is a cheper version of vista you can purchase the oem edition which is a lot cheaper. then you're not breaking the law and your conscience is clean. windows vista rock! i've purchased already, from my hard earned money, and i love it. by the way i'm just a poor guy from a third world country. well, after a few days trying to get this crack to work it finally happened. silly me i didn't take full control of the files like run as admin for all the files included in the crack. on top of that the asus key don't work on my dell laptop inspiron 6400 so i had to use the dell oem key instead that was provided in this thread, and it finally activated nicely.

works beautifully. for those who have a 0xc004f0050 or something like that, you have to reinstall your vista. i had that then i reinstalled and it worked bueatifully, with -oem- in the produkt key. and when you would type "winver" it sais "licensed" insead of expires :blah blah. no timers. follow the instructions, better to use asus. rememmber to reinstall if get the message, 0xc004f050.

no it doesn't do anything to your bios. it adds boot data on your hd to emulate the bios of whatever you install.

i followed the paradox crack procedure and it worked well: passed genuine activation check, and allowed updates including windows defender. it also showed a definite chagne in the key to oem, the one i put (ultimate for asus as recommended).

what's funny is that the timer crack still seems to be running. i still get the 30 days of trial period left until. i'm wondering of the windows defender updates will eventually kill the timer crack (as they would have before). there seems to be nothing wrong with this, just that i have to remember never to activate, just to allow "genuine windows" checks for updates.

is there something i should do to kill the timer crack myself? will windows defender get suspicious when it tries to kill and run my new "genuine" status from the paradox?

i realize microsoft can never actually cancel the asus key, because thousands of computers purchased as oem will need to verify genuine status for many years. but is there anything windows defender and its updates might do the system?

paradox says to remove pci-express root, but this not listed in my device manager... i´m using vista final (non-rtm).

i've got this crack working on two machines that previously had the timer crack correctly installed. nothing wrong with them running, but of course i could not get risk applying updates, especially windows defender, which can kill the timer crack.

paradox successfully changed the serial key and the machines passed wga as "genuine." so now i've completely armed windows defender, and things still work well for a couple of days. (by the way, you still need something like norton or macafee antivirus sinjce microsoft s-u-c-k-s at virus detection, failed a recent test against other vendors.)

what's weired is the timer crack still appears to be working as well. it says i still have 30 days left on the free trial, and encourages me to activate, something i knew better than to try before paradox.

is there anything wrong with this? the system runs and acts like one that has been activated already. is there any possibility that windows defender will pre-emptively label my machine as "bad" because the timer crack is running? will the clock start ticking, and does that even matter on a validated machine? should i remove the timer crack (and i never really checked on how to do that, short of reinstalling).

i am way down the road using vista ultimate now, lots of backups and critical files, and i'd like to avoid having to start all over again. i do have a complete image of the drive in case paradox or timer fails and windows defender "zaps me."

any advice? paradox deliberately avoids telling folks what to do with their previous cracks like timer.

i used to work in network security and encryption for phone companies. first, microsoft can never ban or deactivate the oem keys, since that would affect thousands of users. this crack is really a bios crack that exploits a non-application of windows activation technology.

i am wondering if windows defender will go hunting for files associated with the bios crack, but these would be indistinguishable from the hardware oems registry entries. since vista an os-layer product it does not really descend down to the hardware layer if it is receiving a report from a "verified vendor." and again, there is really no easy way to make a huge oem like hp or asus "un-royal." the back-end in support to hundreds of thousands of machines would far outweigh their losses in hacked software.

about all they can do is keep us scared, which is fairly normal considering that technically, as crackers we are stealing, or at least "borrowing" the software for a very long evaulation.

as with music, 95% of everything i have downloaded, i have bought before and lost or will buy soon. the other 5% is crap and this is may way of "returning it to the store" for a full refuend.

in some way, vista is interesting, and in some ways, it is crap. media player crashes a lot. security is a little better, but norton is still better at antivirus and backup. i will pay $$$ for ghost 12--i **know** it will be great software before i install it. just like i know certain bands like u2 will release a good album--no need to download it first.
