Developers have always found the Start Menu in Windows to be inconvenient to use. In the new Windows Vista it's been made more attractive but more inconvenient than even before!
During the process of developing the program, we tried to take into account what a person can do with ease and what presents difficulties.
Suppose product manufacturers decide to save on packaging and buy it from one manufacturer. So all products get packed in boxes of one size and shape with labels stuck on the front of them. You can see some products repacked into the new package in the picture.

the start menu keeps becoming more and more ugly, bulky and useless as time goes by. i cannot understand for
the life of me why anyone on earth would want a big, fat ugly menu that is skinned and takes up so much real
estate to so nothing. now i have to download some hack to clean it up and take off all the unnecessary crap.
gee thanks for this headache. gawdfuuk, never thought i'd say this, but as far as windows goes, the 95-98
menu was best. simple, clean, efficient, fast, lightweight and not garbage.
