Tony Chor: I’m pleased to report that on January 8th, we had the 100 millionth IE7 installation. However, even more important than installations is usage. According to WebSideStory (the company we use to measure browser usage), as of this week, over 25% of all visitors to websites in the US were using IE7, making IE7 the second most used browser after IE6.
We expect these numbers to continue to rise as we complete our final localized versions, scale up AU distribution, and with the consumer availability of Windows Vista on January 30, 2007.

a this is just install rigth how many were unistalled
the reason those figures are so high is because windows auto downloads and installs it onto our computers
without even bloody asking us! i uninstalled it the second i got it now thanks to that crappy ie7 i have
started getting lag on my computer!
i've had no problems at all with ie7, in fact it's become my most used browser, whereas before it was
firefox 2, which i uninstalled after so many compatibility problems with web pages not displaying correctly.
you seem to be the only one that does not have probs with ie7 and has probs with firefox lol
try the w3c acid 2 test for browser compatibility, you'll see how well firefox does. opera and ie 7 both
render correctly and firefox??? well, say no more.
ie7 does not render the acid 2 test correctly, the only browser (that i have used) that i know passes it is
opera. i'm not a defender of ie7, i'm sure it has it's problems, but it has been working fine for me,
that's all. i don't want to get into one of these childish "my browser is better than your browser" type
of things. i'm only telling my experience with both pieces of software. it seems that anybody who has
anything good to say about a microsoft product is ridiculed and laughed at. thank you and goodnight.
