what's the difference with other timer stoppers? like offlinevista's one

guess you never used the start - run - slmgr.vbs -dlv correctly... who cares what the date is if the timers are stopped.

any advantages of using this one??

i've followed this order:-
1. installed vista ultimate rtm 32-bit without a key
2. changed the date to 2099
3. turn off automatic updates
4. updated/installed any missing driver
5. restart
6. apply patch
7.restart again
8. patch is working
9. continued installing apps including office 2007 enterprise edition

now my question.. how would turning on automatic updates affect the patch?? i really wanna try updating but i'm afraid risking the patch :-(

anyway, the patch will work as i've stated above.

just make sure you let vista check for updates but you choose what to update in case there is an update later that will circumvent this crack. if there is one, just don't use that update and hide it. there is a selection to hide an update you don't want so you will never see it again.

don't use this kind of cracks...microsoft will have a solution
by patching you with an update..melinda gates activation works fine with me..the one and only way for true activation!

i use the new stop timer crack 3 days ago and it worked well. this morning suddenly the timer started counting down.

i first uninstalled the new time stopper crack and rebooted. after that installed next vista 2099 crack and i have 43200 minutes again. at the moment it's not counting down but we'll see in a couple of days

the difference in this "new" crack is, it uses old version of timerstop.sys, readily identifiable at the size of 3584 bytes. current crack (2a) contains 32bit timerstop.sys (4096 bytes) and timerstop64.sys (6136 bytes). moreover this new doesn't work with vista 64 cos driver is not signed, but is absolute requirement. if you enable bootlogging you can see an entry in ntbtlog says: "driver not loaded ...\timerstop.sys"

i don't understand why all these users want to use this cracking method when other better methods are available. if you install vista business or enterprise and use the kms server you will have an activated copy of windows instead of a cracked trial. is all this extra trouble worth it just for media center? other 3rd party apps can give you those media center features.

there's absolutely no difference between having a copy of windows vista with the 30 day to activation frozen than having an activated copy. i prefer to have ultimate than business or enterprise. all you have to do is set auto updates to 'check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them' and don't download and install the windows validation update or any similar and you have a fully fuctional ultimate copy of vista for ever. the timer will never count down. end of. you can download updates just make sure you read what they are so you don't download and install anything that is relares to validation.

you say 'cracked trial' as if you mean you have limited functionality which is quite funny i think. in the 30 days to activation you get a full working copy. so is if the timebomb is frozen you get a full working copy forever. not a trial.

i tried to run the crack whithout reeinstaling vista anda changind the date on bios to 2099, i just downloaded the crack and runed it and everytime i restart the clock wents back to 43200 min(30 days)... i think it is working... on x64 version, i also have deactivated digital driver signing before

thanks for your warning. there are also other torrents of this but i don't think that it's real becose the release date from microsoft vista site is 2007-01-30. i've already the vista rtm, a few month's, but i thought if that's the final 2007 version then it would be better. i think i wait.


i installed vista (x32) and changed the date to 2099 with the command prompt. afte r that i runned the crack and initially the cracks works fine(43200 minutes remaining).
so i changed the date back to 2007 (with command prompt) and rebooted the computer. and than the crack starts again but says that the crack didn't work because he could not change the date.
i tried the samething without changing the date back to 2007, but the samething happened.
what should i do?

i have install vista 64bit dutch version and used this crack without changing pc date and now the counter doest count anymore thanx guys and keep up the good work

can't you type "bcdedit -set nointergritychecks on" to bypass the requirement that all 64 bit driver need to receive blessing from ms?

maybe there are many installers, but all of that cracks do the same: stop some timers in spsys.sys. the differences you can read in my previous post.

like before, this crack does not stop countdown while you are working in vista but next restart will reset the timer to 43200.

this crack works beautifull on my hp dv5264ea laptop. i can also use windows update.

i recommended this crack to anyone who reads this, and has windows vista rtm running on their pc/laptop.

it was said above that there is no difference between cracking ultimate as compared to activating business with the kms server. i highly disagree and feel the kms method is the best by far as cracking system files in general is usually not a good idea and doesn't provide the user with a secure feeling that there cracked trial will stay cracked. also if anything goes wrong with any one of those cracked files/services/startup items, your trial could at minimum start counting down or worse leave you in limited-functionality mode with few options other then .wim image restore or fresh reinstall.

the business edition has none of these downfalls. "activated" copies won't suffer deactivation. with business edition, you only need to watch your windows updates.

since no cracked files exist in business or enterprise activations, the only way ms can detect your hacked activation is to get something through windows update that detects the kms activation sequence and blacklists it, on the other hand ms has stated that they soon will add these cracked vista files (timersys, pkeyconfig,etc.) to defender definitions as malware and get other virus/spyware vendors to also include it in their detection.

why take chances, be activated. read these vista crack links, their are many users who already have suffered fresh reinstalls after cracks had gone haywire after days and weeks, ms blocking patches, etc.

the cat might have the point. this "new" timestop crack works for me, one day has passed as well as few reboots. but we cannot be sure before week or two pass. also, ms will block timestop files with def. update. crackers should do more harder on the real activation. timestop is the wrong way.

i have found that the timerstop.sys intermittently works. in my opinion the windows defender (wd) is the cause of problem. however, the wd service cannot be normally disabled. in order to solve this problem. you have to remove wd out of the installation. accordingly, you must create a new vista installation iso file or dvd, certaintly, without the wd. this process can be easily done by vlite, (www.vlite.net). the timer stopper software will be installed as the existing procedure. for the first time of vista booting after timer stopper installation, there is a trick.
once the log on screen shows up and is waiting for the password, you have to wait for a while. don't be hurried to type your password. if you hurry to type the password in, you might get the bsod because of timerstop.sys. if the bsod appears to you, just restart normally.

i hope this method should solve an intermittently working of timerstop.sys.

if you all have any experience based on this procedure, please post to this web.


i agree with you that are no differences between business and ultimate. but there is something you must consider: most people want ultimate. we only serve it. this has nothing to do with my individual liking. i prefer an activated vista, too. at the moment timerstop is the only way for ultimate. of course we think over alternatives.

there is a difference though: in enterprise and business there aren't any games installed by default. also some other multimedia features aren't available in these editions.

aftga installing this a few days ago, my weather and feed gadget on the sidebar will not update!stil gives me the weatha 4the day i used this crack and same goes with the feeds!

i was using the timer stopper and for a month it looked like vista had stopped counting down. then i checked it today and it jumped down almost ten hours. yet now it remains where it was but with a ten hour diff on the clock. what gives? will this keep happening?

there is no real difference betweeen cause all of this contains timerstop.sys or timerstop64.sys coded by offlinevista. some uses older versions, some new. the main "difference" is: they painted their own name on the installer.

hi all, jus been reading through and i say what is wrong with your windows xp's. alot of software is not supported yet on vista it just looks flashy and you can make xp look like that to. wait until vista comes out officially then the real hackers will take care of the rest. for now stick with xp, because xp can be cracked and has been cracked i myself have a legit xp but will not buy vista at the price it is 0.0 xp does pretty much all you want it to do.

i have found the same experience win vistax86 ultimate. the timerstop.sys failed to stop timers on some boots, and the timers started counting down at that time.
in order to solve the problem, just uninstall the timer stopper, reboot, install timer stopper again, and reboot again, that all.
at this time, the window defender was remove from the installation, and i'm watching on it's effect.


i've run the vista time crack and it works prefectly. but when i create a user the activation timer starts to run again...

timerstop working for 5 days now.remember it counts up while the pc is on so you have to shut down to reset timers.

i just applyed the timer stop crack and it messed up my system...
but i have found a method to use the business (kms) key...
1) you need vlite
2) copy all your data from the dvd or iso to a local folder
3) delete the business n, starter and home premium n versons - you wont need them
4) rebuild the image
5) create the iso6
6) burn it to a dvd
7) install from windows with this key: yfkbb-pqjjv-g996g-vwgxy-2v3x8
8) choose wiondows vista business, ultimate, home premium or home basic
9) install
10) activate via kms

used it on vista ultimate x86 exactly as described and it works!. although for me it says that only 2 timers are stopped, i've checked with the slmgr.vbs command for a few days and it's still sitting at 43200 minutes!

as long as you don't enter a cd key at install, you'll be able to download the updates. given that billy boy is aware of this workaround, they will surely find a way to stop it and add it to the next update.

solution? just disable automatic updates.

did you execute it using the administrator's right? just do it by right click on it and select "run as administrator".


i have the same problem with both stopper patches. i did it before in a pentium 4 and everything ok. now i have a core 2 duo laptop and i cant make the patches work. it also appears the message "cannot write in system 32" even in administrator mode...

the timestopper is just crap. i run vista with the activation components from rc, a few months ago, and it's activated till june. i am relaxing and have time enough to sit and wait for a real hack instead to keep myself bussy with the timehack that doesn't work.

what does kms stand for?

kms stands for key management service.
it is an activated version of an os like windows vista which acts as a server. it isn't connected to microsoft in any way. any pc with for example windows vista enterprise on it, can activate through such a server. but it isn't permanently activated though: it has to reconnect to the kms server every 180 days. such a server is good for large enterprises.

can we setup our own kms server and activate vista?

why are you guys cracking your windows with such a cack while there is a much better option available? with the method i used you have to replace 2 files, they are for validation, but those in the package came from rc1. after reboot it asks for a new key because the one you installed with is not valid because of the changes, now you type your beta key (which you can still get at the microsoft website) and voila, you can make your copy of vista genuine officially true the internet.

and what do you think about updates ... you have download and install it ... nothing happen on vista with rc1 file changed??

that's the best option we have for this moment.... just install vista with every update they offer. after that, use the activation hack. watch out for the genuine validation tool update that wil come up when you activated you copy of vista. dissable this update, don't install it!!! what else do you want at this moment. you don't have to dissable defender of what else, it's fully working with no problems at all.

if you can't hardly wait for another solution, you're tired of trying to use the timer crack (that doesn't work proper) and you pissing in your pants, buy it!!!

ran the crack on 2 different pcs. the crack works and completes, but after a couple of reboots later, i gotten the timer crack come up and run and say crack failed.. it hasn't done it again since then and the timers are indeed stopped.. i think the first version of this crack worked better.. never got any weird errors afterwards...

hey sup guys i used you advice worked great on ultimate 32bit erm 1 problem i cant u windows media player 11 because it says sum s**t about date set to 2099 and i dunno wot to do i know the crack changes the bios date or sumink so when you know wot to do tell me.. or ill just download real player.

crad, it will still show 30days to activate. the timer for the 30days (43200min.) will count down the minutes for however long you are on your machine. but when you restart your machine it resets the timer back to 43200min. and counts down again. as long as your machine is not left on for more than 30days it will alwas reset. at 31 days uptime you might be screwed. don't know for sure since i'm not going to get to that point.

the way you know this crack is working is if it resets the minutes back to 43200 when you restart.

how do i activate on kms because i have a notice that says auto activation in 2 days or should i just ignore this notice?

it always resets the timer to 30 days (43200 minutes) at boottime.

it is possible the timer restarts while in windows but if you restart, it will reset to 30 days!!!

reinstall the system and use the "tranfert setting and option" features in vista for trasporting setting, account and program setting, after this, use the workround and new windows vista work best!!

the problem is that the minutes left do not reset after i restart the computer, now i have 29 days left but when i go system properties by clicking the computer icon and going properties it says that the copy of windows is not activated but it doesnt show how many days left... does it mean that the timerstop worked fine???

if you rum msconfig, you'll see that it adds itself to vista startup. i took it out and the hack still seems to be working.

i used stop timer crack and i update every day all the update and still said 30 days.

do not worry for that.

myatery ia right, it does load it self in the startup. it seems like it don't know how to take itself off from the startup after re-boot. just remove it from msconfig & your good to go. using it now for 7 days with constant re-boots and the timer do reset itself.

btw: i'm using x64 ultimate.

no one can hack vista!!! these minor workarounds will soon be disabled. please spend $400.00 for a legit copy of vista.

ok i've tried this time stop and the other one and even some i found on thebugs, but none work for me!

im using it in x64 coz i have dual opteron cpu and im using ultimate, when i use this time crack i follow it exact and it does pause the timer but when i click install it says service installed, but 10secs later a box comes up saying "windows needs a digitally asigned driver to launch this application everytime"

so i don't know wtf to do can any of you lot help?? thanx

the crack works nicely for some time on vista ultimate x64. after a few days it starts the count and even after restart it continues (no reset). somebody mentioned that something in the startup neutralizes the crack. what is it and how to delete it?

microsft are jokes in uk the selling ultimate version for £330 that is a joke, im gonna buy the ultimate oem for £120 with a valid product key. so i recommend you lot do that to because the extra you pay is jus for warrany and tech support of microsoft, but i'm only doing it because all these cracks patches get to much, i been looking on google for over 6hrs 2day looking on torrent sites warez and crack sites and now im dead man, so phuck it im gonna just buy it for £120

microsoft products in general are great and that is from someone that also uses mac & linux. i will for sure buy vista, the crack was just to play with until the release of the os. many knock microsoft but i bet the use there software too..

put it this way windows is the most user friendly, linux is my fav overall! i use windows for havin fun like music, photos, games etc. but i use linux for coding and u know whatelse hehe, so manicmj u will get more protection with vista but give it a while it will jus get ripped apart like xp did jus becareful on what kind of sites u/or your family go to- parad0x- thebugs.ws

will bill gates rtm work with htis method? i installed without the provided key..i then tried to run vistacrack in admin mode, said rearmed, change date then patch failed. also start..run slmgr.vbs-dlv doesnt exist.thnx jeff

ok, sorry.
at first will say at first look vista seems more secure whith its lots of features like uac. but when uac pops up without end it only prevents you from equitable work. second i prognosticate you vista will be cracked. worldwide crackers/hackers work at it. so vista will suffer same destiny as xp sooner or later. of course ms wish another thing. thats a dream.

if you haven't heard, it looks like the batch of updates microsoft just released disable the timer crack,etc. i tried to get an ad-on for pdf from the office 2007 site, and they wouldn't let me have it. my copy was legit! the pop up said it was bogus! i hope the info is of any help to you.

anyone know if kb931573 is safe to download?

windows update popped up with 6 or something new important updates today. and plenty of language packs plus two ultimate extras. anyone downloaded these updates & know if they're ok?

dont install kb931573 via update! it kills the timerstop task. all other updates are save...

i didn't install kb931573, only one for ie7 and some ultimate extras. and now my aero doesn't work! anyone else had the same problem? (it might be because i installed a new ati catalyst as well, but i wouldn't think so)

hi, if you want to get rid of the updates, go to start menu and type rstrui.exe + enter. choose the update point and recover the system ;-)

installed all except the above, and now everything works like a charm! including aero

make sure you put a space between slmgr.vbs and -dlv.

i wanted to give a try... i installed it and it still works... it says this update is to resolve an issue where u may be promted to activate a preinstalled copy of vista.... till now i installed every and each update and my vista still shows 43200 minutes... might be just my case.... but i say it's safe... but anyway u don't need it it is good just for preinstalled copy i suppose...

i got the dutch edition and have cracked it and it works fine but the language is dutch. anyone know how i can change this to english?

my dream is crushed :[ after coming home with vista and one care and spending 2+ hours installing and validating with a gentleman in india. i was hoping that my pc would be a little more secure. i told my kids to be careful where they surf but of course they go to the mp3, bearshare, p2p, etc.
when i came home from work i was at least with a positive attitude that one care would help take care of vista. everything looked ok. no problems. i just wanted to double check though so i disabled one care and ran both kaspersky, and bit defender. bingo!!!
2 trojans and 3 viruses. is it possible that kp and bd are throwing false positives because vista is so new? needless to say, i reformatted and reinstalled everything.
any ideas guys. my kids hate me. i put the pc under lock and key in my bedroom until i get this figured out.
