KMS Crack Method to Activate Windows Vista Business or Enterprise Edition
section: download, for your questions: KezNews forum, 13.12.2006
Tip: Click here to update all your PC's outdated driversIf you intend to activate Windows Vista against a KMS server (Enterprise or Business edition only), but having a hard time to find a working KMS (Key Management Service) server that is public available on the Internet, it’s possible to install and set up a spoofed KMS host. This tutorial is a complete guide to properly activate your Windows Vista with your own local KMS server with pre-built and pre-installed activated Windows Vista KMS as VMWare virtual appliance image, without the need to install a KMS yourself.
The following trick instructions incorporate hack that will prevent the time from changing on the spoofed kms server virtual machine image (the KMS inside the image has n count of 41, more than exceed the required limit of 25 for the KMS to start activating the connected Vista PCs), thus ensuring that there will be always 41 activated computers registered in the KMS whenever your copy of Windows Vista try to activate and reactivate. Else the KMS will reduce the n count (the connected Vista clients) by 1 with a Vista computer doesn’t contact or call back to the KMS after 30 days, render the KMS useless as the n count will fall below 25 which means no activation will be done, unless you share out the KMS to the public via Internet.
- Install Windows Vista Business edition using the valid product key.
- Once Windows Vista is installed, install VMWare Player or VMware Workstation.
- Download Microsoft.Windows.Vista.Local.Activation.Server-MelindaGates torrent which contains a spoofed KMS server VM image that are activated and has 41 clients connected on the KMS already to bypass the minimum clients limit from here, here or here. You will need BT client to download the VMWare image from the torrent.
- Extract the Windows Vista KMS image downloaded.
- Open to edit the file “Windows Vista (experimental).vmx” located in the extracted folder in any text editor. Add the following few lines to the configuration file:
tools.synchronize.continue=FALSE
tools.synchronize.restore=FALSE
tools.synchronize.resume.disk=FALSE
tools.synchronize.shrink=FALSE
rtc.startTime = “1164286430″
- Save the edit .vxm file and exit the text editor.
- Disconnect from Internet or unplug from the router.
- Reboot and restart the computer.
- Once computer boot up, open VMWare software you installed, and choose to open (not run) the Vista KMS server image downloaded.
- On the right side of the screen, locate the word ‘Ethernet’, and then double click on it. In the option, choose Host only. (You can select Bridged mode if you like to share the KMS server with other computers in the network for activation purpose).
- Then start the VMWare server to load the Vista KMS server.
VMWare Player loading spoofed KMS server.
- Optionally, disable Windows Firewall in Windows Vista client (your own Vista installation that need to be activated) if you facing any problem.
- In the VMWare virtual server environment, disable the KMS server firewall too, and then reboot the VMWare KMS server.
- Determine the IP address of the KMS server in VMware virtual machine, by opening command prompt and execute ‘ipconfig’. Note that the IP addresses of your Windows Vista computer and Vista KMS server have to be located on the same subnet allowed by both subnet masks (e.g 192.168.1.1 ad 192.168.1.2 with subnet mask set to 255.255.255.0). You can check if your computer is able to communicate with KMS server by pinging the IP address of the KMS server. If server is unreachable (ping lost), change the IP address of the KMS server or your Vista computer to be in the same subnet.
- Right click on Command Prompt icon and choose “Run as Admin” to open elevated command prompt.
- Key in the following command:
slmgr -skms <replaced with kms server IP address>
slmgr -ato
or (if above have problem)
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -skms <replaced with kms server IP address>
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ato
- Windows Vista should be activated with visual confirmation.
- You can verify the activation with the following command at Command Prompt.
slmgr -dlv
or
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -dlv
or
slmgr -xpr (will show permanently activated)
or
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -xpr (will show permanently activated)
- Stop the VMWare image if you like, but remember to start the KMS server again after 6 months for re-activation.

the same kms method we have been using for at least 15 days.
what nobody
was able to answer to me untill now is about the "enterprise" version.
is it avaiable? which
name? which md5 version?
in ms site is says the enterprise language will be a multi-language one.
in this case, does it contain the portuguese-br language (to brazil) ? i didnt see a brazilian
vista poping up yet in internet. so i suppose this "enterprise" version is not ready yet. am i wrong? please
if somebody could answer me.
thanks.
this consisely explains the technique and tells you need to change some code so the vmware image does not
track the passage of time. that is different.
i've tried the chinese kms and worked right only for business edition - but from time to time i'm getting
the blue screen with mem failure dunno why...is this happening taya?
also my genius sound maker value
5.1 is not running (64bits) is there a way to fix it?
@none: tambem to querendo o vista em
brasileires!!!!
i also activated my vista ultimate using business credentials on the chinese server, surprisingly it worked
like a charm.
only one thing is that i've now been blocked out of using windows media center
likely due to restrictions for vista business. anyone know how a fix for this?
when you activate ultimate using business credentials (swapping business files in), all you are doing is
making it bascially enterprise or enhanced business. media center will not work in those editions as that is
not a feature set of business or enterprise. even though your software says ultimate, you've really turned
it into enterprise.
it worked for me using vmware player. running two days now without problems. win update working fine.
off
topic slightly: office 2007 enterprise key is now blocked and you cannot update. go to this page:
http://keznews.com/1718_wga_patcher_permanent_kit!
download the file and then run wga-fix.exe. yes,
it works on vista and will enable you to update office 2007 again !!!
thanks to all at keznet.
the best guide to kms server activation (w/ torrent links)
http://s19.quicksharing.com/v/572253/the_jacked_guide_to_activating_windows_vista_enterprise_using_a_.pdf.html
i'm still getting the error of the the return count being insufficient!!!
i got the same, but i downloaded the jacked version and it worked fine.
yesterday i could activate vista buissnes on several computers, but today kms seems to be down...i cant
activated on the easy way ( copy and paste) in command promt...somebody els get the same "error" not
activated
make sure to follow step 5 above, and your returned count problem should go away.
would it be posible to increase the amount of activations that are made with a kms host without actualy
activating any real machines? becuase right now mine only shows 1 but i need a min of 25
yup, have added the lines to the vmx but it's not making any difference! thanks
got the message: the computer could not be activated. the key management service could not be reached...is kms
server down forever, i could acivated yesterday...any els had this problems and got a soultion
i think the kms server is down can any1 confirm this.
thanks
a - this only happens when the key count decreases as time goes on. the kms server image should have 41
activations available when it was created. as time moves forward and no other machines have activated, the
count decreases, and you cannot activate and you get the insufficient count error.
the way around
this problem is to have the vmware image open thinking it is late nov, 2006, which is what the above code is
supposed to do. open the vmware image and check the date of the virtual machine, if it is much diffent than
nov 30, 2006, then you are doing something wrong. if it is nov, 2006, then you probably have a bad copy and
either need to re-download or decompress a new image.
hope this helps. i played with it for hours
before i got mine to work, and had the same problem. adding the code above was the solution for me.
thanks b
yeah, the vmware image opens up with a nov 2006 date, been messing with it for hours and still
no joy! heh.
kms server dont connect any more, and i mean the easy way (copy and paste) in command promt...it workt 2 days
ago, so happy to these who get there activation...well i find another way:
before u install a fresh
vista
1.unplug your pc?s internet connection.
2.turn on your pc (or restart if it?s already on)
and boot into your bios (usually hitting the key before initialization; otherwise refer to your instruction
manual).
3.set the date to december 31, 2099 (december to prevent accidents from happening when setting
the year back to 2099 for any reason; as vista keeps the most amount of days you passed the time you installed
it, so if you pass the 30 days after you install it and boot up vista, it will remember that every time you
reboot and not allow you to log on).
4.save & exit the bios and install vista, leaving the product key
textbox blank and un-checking the ?automatically activate windows when i?m online? checkbox. (you can either
burn the iso file to a dvd using software like dvd decrypter or mounting it to a virtual drive with daemon
tools
5.when windows shows the time settings when you?re setting it up, do not change anything (not even
the time zone), just click ?next? and finish. now windows will test your system performance.
6.after it
finishes, log on. click on the time on your taskbar, click the ?change date and time settings?? link, go to
the ?internet time? tab, hit the ?change settings? button, and uncheck the ?synchronize with an internet time
server? checkbox. then set your date back to today. also, you can set the time zone to your own.
7.plug
in your pc?s internet connection and download updates as necessary
8.now the 30-day trial period will
last until year 2099. you will not be able to activate windows, but wga still works and you can download
anything from microsoft just like a legitimate copy of windows can. this trick goes the same for windows xp.
the activation status in system information (control panel à system) will say 30 days.
i installed vista on a test machine, activated it via kms, using two different images. in each case, i used
settings i found to reset the rtc for vmware in the vmx config file, and to turn off time sync, etc. i am not
sure if the problem is vista or vmware, but in every case, when i moved the clock forward on my host machine,
while disconnected from the internet, with internet time sync turned off on both my machine and the vmware
image machine, the vmware image kms detected the time change and dropped the 25 activations. i also had set
the vmware options to reset the hard-drive and all changes each time the image was run, and even tried
re-extracting a completely new image. in one case, after setting the date ahead 5 months, the vmware bridging
adapter failed to load. so, kms may work with the date reset, but with whatever vmware settings we're
currently using, vmware does not conceal the date from the vmware server image.
not to undermine anyone but still waiting for real crack!
temprering with the bios is amateur
trick.
! month and a half after the bill gates release still no real solution just buy it :(
this is what happens we=hen i am on step "completing installtion" please hellllppp
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8328019624402040569&q=vista+bsod&hl=en
before publishing trash it should better to ask some one with vmware-knowledge. maybe he can explain how to
use the right parameters in vmx-file ! my question is: why do you try to de-synchronize (vmware)tools? didn't
you think it's better to de-sync the time ?
i hope you know the answer now.
the bubbleman
people are saying that some guides make errors or stop working, which one should i use? the one in jacked
guide or this one?
none, coz they are all crap!
buy vista if you need it.
it hasn't been cracked yet - these are just
lame workarounds...
it works. you just got to know what to do.
does ultimate work when activated or does it expire.. someone was saying ultimate gets activated, but then
fails 10 days later.. anyone know?
can anybody confirm kms server works, its been down for a while...i dont wont to formated and getting this
"error key managent canr be reached" no activation,
i have "vista home edition" trial version, and
its seems that vista is most usefull for home enterteiment, its the best after ultimate...that is to big and
not nessesery for me
http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/windows_vista
at first read the headline:
kms crack method to activate windows vista business or enterprise edition.
business or enterprise
nothing about home or ultimate or etc
lets say you reset the kms server back to its original date, dont you suppose its going to issue you a key
that expires the same day as the one you already had?
what are you guys talking about? my kms image counts are still 43 and i hardly activate my vista on it and i
just tried this morning and it's still activate my vista.
i have set the bios on my compter forward and back, up to eight years out years out. if activation expires,
the kms method will reactivate flawlessly. i had the reduced count error for a while, but installed #5 above
in the .vmx file and voila, i can always activate.
try not to overthink it... test it.
it works... no problems. as long as you do not update something from ms to block it, this is a permanent
solution.
just like the question above, if i use it, will the kms trick stop working? and what is that everybody is
saying of the time thing?
it needs to be launched as admin, so it can install the driver.
use the test button, it should say that 4
timers were stopped.
now check with slmgr.vbs -dlv, the counter should be freezed.
if it works, you
can use the install button to run it automatically at startup (verify it works, since the driver may not be as
aggressive as it should, so it can be different since it isn't launched at the same moment).

works...good... thanks...
my computer still reports that the key count is not enough. i copied and pasted the required text (in the
article,) and vista still refuses to activate. any help?
does the kms host ever check back with m$ once the kms host is activated?
in the vista vmware image, go to start, cmd, then enter slmgr -dli. this will tell you your key count
available on the kms image. this should be around 42. if it is less than that, and the date is not november
23, 2006 on the vmware image, you might be doing something wrong. if both of these are as they are supposed
to be, then i can't see why you couldn't activate.
no need a key in my new suse 10.2 linux distro. it works like a charm and is very stable.
after
trying vista for a while i get rid of it bycose it sucks.
no control of your own system!!!
by the way, windows is for children and linux is for adults
very mature
