what does it mean "02) setup your internet access, " what happened to it before installing?

just activated on both laptops. another 6 monthx yay

it's for business and enterprise. as a matter of fact i'm running enterprise right now.

replace your ultimate edition pkeyconfig & tokens.dat from the ones in business edition!reboot & follow these steps

*i prefer a kms activated business edition pkeyconfig & tokens.dat

then follow these steps posted by goober nice job dude!

1. perform a clean install of windows business edition using the key:

yfkbb-pqjjv-g996g-vwgxy-2v3x8

2. once windows is installed, install vmware workstation and extract the windows kms server image.

a. open the file windows vista (experimental).vmx in a text editor
b. add the following lines to this configuration file:

tools.synchronize.continue=false
tools.synchronize.restore=false
tools.synchronize.resume.disk=false
tools.synchronize.shrink=false
rtc.starttime = "1164286430"

c. save and exit the .vxm file

3. disconnect from internet and routers, then reboot.

4. upon restarting, open vmware and choose to open (not run) the server image.

5. on the word 'ethernet' on the right side of the screen double click and choose host only. (if youw ould like the image to be available to other computers on your network then choose bridged mode.)

6. start the server.

7. in the virtual server environment do the following:

a. disable the firewall
b. reboot
c. go to command prompt and type ipconfig to obtain the ip address of the virtual server

8. in the newly installed windows on your computer (aka the real windows) open a command prompt and ping the ip address of the server. if it can be pinged then everything is working as it should.

9. type the following:

slmgr -skms [ip address of server]

10. after confirmation type the following:

slmgr -ato

11. confirmation of activation should follow. use slmgr -dlv to verify if you would like.

12. in 6 months run the server and start at step 7c to renew your activation.

13. or use the kms server posted above when activating!

programs not working:

-windows media center
-mui language pack
-games (it works but u need to uninstall reinstall it first)


i dont understand what is the point of doing this...runing ultimate edition with keyconfig & tokens.dat of business or enterprise one..if you miss windows media center there is no point doing this because all the other futures of ultimate exept windows media center are the features of the enterprise version. if you miss media center its pointless..so doing this trick is useless in my opinion

for your info theres no media center in enterprise edition unless you use the crack!reset 5.01..and media center is useless!

vista kms activation server...dam...this time it works...whit the new instructions...i will hug you all hackers for sniping bill gates...takeing money for por people...he could sell this os to a much lower price....wating to see of there is someone who hack "ultimate"

and i wonder if someone have tested home premium aganst the kms instructions or have some other method..
home premium seems to me enough

all u need is the pkeyconfig & tokens.dat from vista business edition!then do the kms activation method

to have the mui pack working the only way it's to use enterprise. i've ultimate with enterprise files tokens and pkey substituted. i had to insert an enterprise key to let start windows but now i cannot activate to the servers above. anyone with enterprise installed could give me some advices?

ok, my windows was the ultimate and i do the above activation. everything was great, the useless media center dont work as expected, but the wmp show me a "low on memory" message when i try to play any dvd. any ideas?

looks like the same, old, useless 2-files/rc2-key method.

i saw something on the internet saying microsoft will try to stop this crack.

does anybody has this two files?

ant: maybe you should wait for a while after entered a line. the server maybe too busy. oh, this kms workaround only work for final rtm release business edition only

well it work if you activate ultimate by using those two files from business and once it's activated try to put back the two original ultimate files? i know that you'll have to enter the key over again but will it still keep the activation? just my thought!

and where is the vista (experimental).vmx file?

well i'm assuming so but maybe the server has been shut down?

i'm downloaidng the klm image so i can run it locally. only problem is its going to take all night as its 1.5gb.

i have done everything from instruction at top. when i enter first script it says "key management has changed" to the server in the script. do i now activate windows through activate option in system properties? please help!!

i follow instruction above and install buieness 10.00 pm this morning....and it finaly works great...my question is...do i have to disable windows update, to be shore i have vista in 180days...or can i update whitout any problems getting my vista to run activated...im a beginner so i dont now this stuff

i have just install business edition. i have ran the first script under administrator. this simply changes the key mangement to a different server?
do i now just activate normally and it will connect to this server in china rather than to microsoft?

download the kms vmware image and install vmware. after that follow paul hacker instruction step by step carefully not to miss a step and i promise you that it will work without any problems.

been trying for some time now. i get a response after the first line, but notting happening after typing in the second line. is the kms server down?

hi 1clicc, i don't have time to download that just now i'm afraid! just wandered with entering the first script cam up activated in the dos box or do i have to activate it the normal way but this time the server has been changed to link with kms server in china ???

it's much more faster guys..vbs.net.cn is down its working but it wont accept connections!..download the kms server image from torrent its really fast then follow the steps i posted above and it should work like a charm!

why is it that people continue to keep things on torrent, it is less than 3kb/s now!!! 3kb/s for over 5gigs total with vista!!!!!

i was wondering how i could change my product key. whenever i go to change it, windows automatically tries to activate. is my only option to reinstall vista?

is not the torrent that is slow since it is not located in a server, it's shared among all people that have it on their compiyetrs.
i downloaded this torrent with 200kbs or more so it is probably your connection or the people connected now have a very low bandwith.

the chinese server has been patched up as far as i have read so go for the image server.

anyone know where we can get hands on the kms server iso instead of going with the vmware image? so we can just install it to another computer because it'll be better.

msdn version of the rtm vista doesn't happen to have business n with it right?

basically i'm using ultimate edition replaced the files from the business addition into my vista ultimate installation followed the instructions above and didn't even need to retype a product key and it activated my ultimate edition :)
