Pinned: Has Visual Studio 2005 RTMed?
link: original article - section: microsoft
Although I haven't recieved any offical word yet, it seems as if Microsoft has let the RTM news out of the bag by mistake.
On ASP.NET's Atlas website, there is a box labeled "Get Atlas!".
n the box, is some details about what versions of Visual Studio 2005 the download will work with, and it says:
VSIs are now available for Beta 2 and RTM versions of Visual Studio 2005!
How could you release something for a product that doesn't exist? You can't. Unless it's a typo, that means that Visual Studio 2005 has RTMed.
Update: According to a post on Channel9 (see comments for the link), the RTM build will be up on MSDN this friday! Wow! It's not often you can get developers this excited Wink [;)].
Update #2: According to cwia (comment #5), the final build number of the .NET Framework 2.0 may be 2.0.5072.26. A download of the possible RTM .NET 2.0 Framework Runtime can be found here.
