the patch that is supposed to make the billgates version a legit msdn version has a different sha-1 then what is posted above, so i would guess from that, it would not be considered a legit msdn

msdn keys won't help, because "msdn subscription product keys can be used to activate software on up to 10 computers." what we need is volume license product keys. but ms has done something on vlk this time.. "windows vista volume activation 2.0 technical guidance" (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9893f83e-c8a5-4475-b025-66c6b38b46e3&displaylang=en)

then wat is the legit msdn version?

yeah this proves that the original billgates to msdn patch is bogus.

let's hope someone makes a new patch for the bg iso so we don't have to download all over again.

what´s the link for the download? i´ve searched the msdn site and i didnt find nothing! is it related to the user sign in e-mail?
second: rumors that the crack (with the rc1,rc2 keys) is not working anymore. is that true? if so, there is only the 2099 date method to go, is this correct?

have a "real" permanent crack solution appeared? one that does not relay in the microsoft site to activate. ( of course microsoft would stop the party in her site sooner or later, i think the ones that activated through out this will not have a long life, as long as the first vista update comes out) (and it will appear soon, as there is a extreme serious bug in the windows explorer in vista)

serious bug in windows explorer would definately be an understatement, my control panel, desktop personalization, windows update and system information stuff appeared only for one session. after restart, poof, suddenly they don't appear.

please post a torrent download link to download the original untouched msdn vista as shown above..........

yes, a billgates to the real msdn release would be nice. i suspected that the other one was bogus.

i would imagine that the product id is also different. i do not know why they keep blocking it out when they post the picture, as it is not the key, it is just the product id, but maybe i am wrong... :)

product id is the same as the windows key that is used for activation.

thx, i wasn't sure. i haven't used a key and i still have a product id listed on what i installed. i'm just using the evaluation until it is released :)

is there someone who have en_windows_vista_x86_dvd_x12-34293.iso ?
if so can u please create an md5 file with all the files inside vista msdn dvd (not just the iso md5) so we can verify our release

vista and office 2007 are all download only for msdn and technet. it will take them awhile to ship on disc.

microsoft said supposedly pirated copies of its new vista computer operating system "will be of limited value" to those who use them. microsoft responded tuesday to reports that some web sites have been circulating pirated copies of vista and the office 2007 applications suite.

the pirated vista comes with a product key that users can enter to activate a version of the products on their computers without paying for them, according to a report on the web site of the sydney (australia) morning herald newspaper. a product key is a unique serial number tied to each package of a software product.

a second download, called an "activation crack," can then be applied that bypasses the activation process intended to guarantee that the vista os being downloaded is legitimate, the herald reported. pirated copies of office 2007 can be downloaded just with the product key with no second activation code required. but microsoft said in a prepared statement that those pirated copies of the os won't work for long.

you don't need a key. just install the version you wan't.

you don't need a key for installation. of course you need a key for activation. the only way to activate it riht now, is to change some files and use a rc1 key.
but i wouldn't recommend this method, because microsoft can easily find out that this version isn't genuine.
but his method works well:

windows vista time crack step by step guide
1. disconnect internet cables.
2. boot into bios and set year to 2099.
3. install windows vista.
4. upon first boot configure and disable online time sync in time & date properties.
5. connect to internet.
6. view system properties so it shows 30 days left on activation.
7. reboot into bios and set to current year.
8. boot into vista and run “slmgr.vbs –dlv” it should report about 43192 minutes left on evaluation.
9. reboot and run “slmgr.vbs –dlv” again it should report 43192 minutes again.
10. your done. steps 11 and forward are optional…
11. to fully verify reboot into bios and set date ahead 7 days.
12. boot into vista and check system properties for 30 days left and verify with “slmgr.vbs –dlv” that it is back to 43192 minutes left.

no you haveallways 30 days left to activate.

i downloaded the bogus msdn vista version. does anyone have a patch that turns the bogus msdn vista into a legit one? or alternatively, a patch that turns my bogus msdn back into the bill gates version, allowing me to apply the real patch?
