for what reason i should do this? is there still the need of activation?
can anyone make a rapidshare mirror?
thanks
for what is this good?
what is this for ?
here's a link for it at megaupload:¨
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0aylqa69
http://rapidshare.com/files/3186112/bg-msdn.rar.html
and then you have a legit msdn release. who cares :p
what's the point?
it still won't pass wga or
you still can't activate it.
sure you can activate with your beta 2 key. i promise
ok, ive downloaded the patch.
i opened the ppf-o-matic3 and i added the iso (bill gates) image and then
added the file bg-msdn.ppf that is included in this patch and then i just applyed the patch and it said patch
successfully, now burn into a cd.
have i done it correctly or something else missing ?
let me know.
p.s- so do i just burn the cd and instal from there ?
p.s- can you post some valid keys to use for
activation ?
regards all.
can someone just say once and for all , if this procedure is carried out , then does it activate ?? and does
it expire ?? yes or no ???
it fixes the error if you install from running windows xp ;)
"it fixes the error if you install from running windows xp ;)" have you confirmed this yourself or did you
get this info from another source?
is it safe to do a clean instal of this version ? i mean like format the hard disk and have it as the main and
only operationg system ? or we have to have win xp and win vista on the same pc ?
let us know, please.
does this make it easier to activate or something? can you use beta 2 keys?
yes it is, i have clean instal on my formated disk and it is ok
do beta 2 keys work?
juris, can u please tell us if u had to activate after install? as far as i know most msdn versions come with
a built-in key and dont require activation.
do beta 2 keys work
to whoever have installed this os, can you tell us how the process works ?
does it need an activation or
is just a key ?
xplain to us how we can successfully instal this os, please ?
thank you all.
activation is still needed. 30 days eval. this are all of the versions even vista enterprise doesn't have vlk
anymore. we will need to wait for a perminent crack
this is not good news.
a lot of people say that this is an official/rtm version and it still needs a
crack ? that means we are only half way through, now the hard part is to get a crack that works.
thank
you.
i have confirmed that this patch fixes the file copy error that occurs when installing vista from windows.
ok this is what i did before i did a clean install in my computer i ser my bios date to 2099. i did a full
system install formated my harddrives and everything. after i got into vista then i changed the date back to
the right date. i have been running the rtm version from this site now for 2 days and i still have 30 days
left for activation. and i have gone towww.microsoft.com and have downloaded programs that need the geniun
validation and it validtaed and let me download the file i needed. so i am having no problems or worries
about the activation. everything is working just fine. i did the same thing when i would download a win xp
version and i used it for almost a year and it was still saying 30 days left for activation and was able to
download from the microsoft site with no problems and all updates worked!! i hope this will help alot of you
out that have been worrying about the activation. i am a computer technician been working with computers for
13 years and that was one trick i learned from microsoft themselves when i would work on computers!!!
i installed vista and when it does to the desktop the screen is blue and the explorer window opens, it
installed because i can use the explorer window to find programs but no desktop, ive reinstalled twice. whats
going on???
1- before you format your hard disk, you set the bios date to 2099!
2- you format the disk and you do a
clean instal of windows vista!
3- after you have installed vista, thats when you change it back to the
current date ?
is that correct ?
let us know please.
thanks for the advice.
p.s- what key
did you use ?
there is a way to activate but you need a rc1 or rc2 key,the msdn patch is usefull just if you want to launch
the setup from xp(pass the imfamous error that happen at 50% during install)
yes that is correct don and the version i have i dont eneter a key at all
thanks for letting me know bornaries79.
i have the bill gates version so i just hope everything works ok.
thanks for all your help.
thanks a lot for this info bornaries79. i just want to know do you change the date back after first boot into
the desktop, or before that right after all installation files are completed? thanks again.
what exactly does it do changing the date back etc? i just installed it and it still says 30 days remaining,
(installed it with 2099 and then when it was installed turned the date back)
i changed the date back as soon as the desktop got loaded the first time. and about why turning the date back
is the time bomb is now set in 2099 when you turn the date back the 30 days will stay 30 days and never bomb
out on you and dont worry about activating it bc the updates and wga works without activating and that way you
can use vista without having to worry about running out of time. its just a way to run vista without the
worry about the crack for activation or to worry about having to redo vista after 30 days bc a crack for
activation ends up blocking wga and updates which alot should know from xp without the activation you can do
wga and updates on vista just like xp i used to run xp almost all the way till 1 day left before activatiing
and i got all my updates and any wga programs if i was actually gonna activate it. so i hope this helps alot
of you out. take care!!!
there is a activation crack out there... then you can use your beta1,beta2,rc1,rc2 key to activate
yes i know there is an activation crack out there but even with that crack there is still a time bomb on it
for june or july of 2007 the workaround the time bomb is in 2099 and none of will be around that long to worry
about it and it is alot easier than the crack all you have to do is 3 steps change date install change date
then your done
do you really think microsoft is this stupid and they wont notice the 2099 trick?
can we set the bios back to the original date after installing and changing date in windows?
well they have not coaught in in the last 5 years and i was told from someone from microsoft about that they
say it is soo simple no one things about it people always go for the hard way trying to find crackz and when
you change the date back on windows the bios will chnage back on restart well i know mine did
ignore spelling errors all been up 24 hours and adding been in pain sorry
umm so which one should i download ime already downloading
microsoft.windows.vista.rtm.32bit.and.64bit.aio.dvd.read.nfo-winbeta, is that the right one or not please tell
me!!!
ok...let's all assume that the bios trick works until someone can actually test it and confirm it after a few
days...bornaries, how are you able to get the wga protected downloads for winxp without having any cracks or
workarounds other than your method...as far as i know, you can't get them unless you have a legit copy of
windows or a crack to bypass the wga protection...are you saying that anyone who can get vista installed with
your method (granted they can get ahold of a key) will be able to get all updates and downloads without the
worry of wga activation? if so, how do you know it will work for vista?
bornaries79 i would like to know if 2099 works with my hard disk.i have 2x 80gb raid 0 that is ok with me to
format them but i have and 1x 160gb with all my backup data. i would like to know if i format the 2x 80 raid 0
and install the os with the bios trick and then put the 160gb disk without formating will the trick continue
to work?..sorry for my english..
is the bios change working? if then afetr installing windows vista, can we cahnge it back current date?
windows xp and vista will need to be activated before you can get updates
i know this because my
win xp was not activated and i it said windows needs to activated before it could verify windows was genuine .
thx a lot, it's true that u can only install via dvd, no virtual drives :(
the activation crack
(replacing licence files) works a peach, free vista till 2007 yay. im 100% vista now. =d i havent tried the
bios thing but i might give it a crack tonite, wil report back a.s.a.p
ok bornaries79was right about the workaround but he did leave one thing out on it but he has also been sick
like he has said so i can't hold it against him!! but when you do the bios date change unhook the internet
install vista then make sure you turn off the sync with servers for the time, then you can chnage the date in
windows or reboot the system go back in bios and then change the date back that will stop the countdown but
keep the sync time off bc it syncs with microsoft anyways and they can get alot of information from your
computer that way anyways ... take care bornaries79 get well soon btw guys i got bornaries79 email and
actually talked to him he is fighting with a bad kidney problem and bladder problem so give him your regards
all thanks oh and also i did the 30day thing yesteday and the 30 days stayed after 24 hours
how do you do this trick when you have already activated vista rtm with the crack? "ok bornaries79was right

in regards to bornaries79's method, it might not affect the time bomb, but how is he able to validate his
install and d/l updates if he doesn't use a cd-key?
@ f@tman: well it works for sure. i've installed vista using the 2099 method and entered no licence key (i
have a valid rc2 key), and was able to d/l genuine validation required files and updates as well (latest
dirextx redist for example)
i've done the same procedure and works great! i've just downloaded 2 updates.
thanks to
bornaries79!!!
i can confirm what ramsesll has said above. it worked for me too. i have a valid rc1 key but didn't need to
enter it. bornaries79, u are a genius! my best wishes and hope u get well soon. i guess what microsoft said
today about the cracked versions not lasting for long, does not apply to this workaround huh? :-)
i tried the 2099 bios trick and it didn't work for me in regards to the 30 days...it hasn't even been 24 hrs
yet and mine has changed to 29 days...i was also able to download files that required validation...i installed
everything step by step the way it was explained by bornaries79 and by the person who added a few extra steps,
but with one difference...in my installation i used the cd key that was provided for installation instead of
just skipping the process of entering a cd key...can anyone tell me if this makes a difference or is this
entire method a joke...i personally don't think it is going to work...surely ms isn't that stupid that they
would let something like this that is so simple slip thru the cracks...if someone can prove me wrong then
i'll shut up...otherwise, i think we are all wasting our time
i installed the vista and did the 2099 what bornaries79. then after i changed the time i ran it for a day then
set my clock up 34 days and it still works great vista didn't do anything differnt, didn't stop working, or
any limit access...
thanks bornaries79
i also then pushed the date to sept 2007 and it still works flawlessly...then i tried it at nov 2008 and still
works flawlessly...
so i installed vista with the 2099 tick, but i dont see the 30 days left anywhere...i think i did it
correctly, but im not positive..where should the 30 day thing pop up?
if you want to check your countdown: run type "slmgr.vbs -dlv" w/o quotes. you'll have your time left to
live!
that didnt do anything...i typed it in in run and clicked run and nothing happened
well the 2099 thing didnt work for me guess ill have to hope someone comes up with a crack real soon!
win +r
and run this vista counter in minutes:
"slmgr.vbs -dlv"
initial value is 43200
why in my "system" window compare 30 days left snd in this counter 29 days left??? therefore does the trick
not function????
run this slmgr.vbs -dlv
if you run slmgr.vbs -dlv and see time in minutes 43200 or less - this trick doesn't work
the cracking is over. it works, anyone know if there is a crack for windows aero in rtm?
benna
have you run script slmgr.vbs -dlv ?
if yes - trick with date 2099 doesn't work
i think trick doesn't works because microsoft has changed something during an update, it seems to be good in
the system window but in the counter days are less. none has founded the way to remove the evaluation sign on
the rc2 files?
relax, madams and sirs....
ya man i am using the rc crack by replacing th file.... any aero crack available
benna
i replaced 2 files too, got license key for rc1, but can't activate rtm version
hey guys, what do i need to do to install the bill gates version. i got an rc1 key. do i need to type that in
when i install. also, is it possible to upgrade from xp to vista?? i have the
microsoft.windows.vista.rtm.proper.activation.crack-reebsaw . do i need to use this too. can someone please
explain to me please.!!
the trick with 2099 year doesn't work, "slmgr.vbs -dlv" counts every minute left (right now i have 43158
minutes left)
i do not know why people are having a hard time with the 30 day work around but i have been running vista
since tuesday with the workaround and i ran the slmgr.vbs -dlv
just to make sure and it still says i have
43200 minutes left. and that is 30 days still and it still says 30 days to activate in my sustem properties.
sorry yall if it is not working for you i tried!!!
have you downloaded all updates?
for you gus that the counter is counting down, when you reboot the system what does it say then? does it
reset the counter back upto 30 days?
well i did the 2099 trick with no success... just to recap and try and clear everything up here are the steps
i took.
1. (pre vista install) - reset bios clock to 2099 (so..11/15/2099) and disabled wireless
internet
2. installed vista -- did a clean install from the cd -- when promtped to put in a serial i
skipped it and continued the install (did not load drivers during install)
3. after the install i turned
off the sync with internet time
4. next i reset the bios time back to 2006 (so..11/15/2006)
5. then
i did a check with "slmgr.vbs -dlv" and it said 29 days...so the trick didnt work..
so im pretty
sure those are the steps, but it didnt work for me...
is it possible to try and do another install
of vista and follow the steps again and try and make it work?
i didnt to a clean formot of the drive from the bios before i installed vista, i just relied on the vista
install to refortmat and do a clean in stall...could that be a problem?
well here what and how i installed and now still shows 30 days left even i change the year in bios-::
1-change bios clock to 2099
2-install vista without any key
3-after final booting vista asks you if
the time and date is ok? .you change the year to 2006..
4.voila
...i even checked if it vill
stop when i change the year to 2008 and what i saw is still 30 days left for register..
--
final
word is you can install vista changin the year to 2099 and it still continues to work when you back change to
2006
there is no need for an aero crack, you can enable it in the control panel by hand (as long as your system
supports it).
also in the system properties where it now says 29 days...it has a product key...i never entered a prod key so
wtf
you can replace the two files as the way to activate the rc2 5840 and after that you can activate the rtm with
the rc1 keys. then you can use the rtm to 2007-6-1~~
about this patch, it fixs the bug that the
billgates virsion could not be intalled in a virtual dvd-rom just like d-tools.
this so-called bios trick maybe working after all...i have found that if i check my minutes and days with
"slmgr.vbs -dlv" everytime i shutdown or restart my computer, it will always show 43195 minutes and 29
days...it will however count down the minutes while the computer is on...seems to reset after shutting down
and restarting...has anyone else tried this
i tried the bios time change trick the first time and it didn't work. when i changed the date ahead a day it
went from say 29 to 28. i did this a day after i installed it, when i got home i noticed it said 29. i did it
again and it went from 28 to 27. but i think the mistake may have been because when it initially asked to
setup the time, i set it to the real time instead of 2099. i reinstalled and did the following:
1.
unhooked computer from the internet
2. set the bios time year to 2099; left the day and month the same as
the real date
3. installed as usual
4. when it initially asks to setup the time, leave it at 2099,
no changes
5. run, services.msc and disable windows time, just did this in case, but hey maybe it
doesn't rely on this at all, but just in case.
6. rebooted just in case
7. changed time back to the
real date and time
i tried changing the date to the next day and then did it two, three, and four
days from now and it still is at 30 day trial in right click computer, properties; at the bottom of the
window. i'll repost an update tomorrow if it goes down. also to note, after each change in date/time to check
to see if the days for the trial period decreased, i would do a reboot. i did that for both instances. also, i
tried moving the time back as well to see if it did anything.
i forgot to mention, to mitigate any discrepancies, i am using the non-msdn patched version of the billgates
dvd which is 2.5gb~ i forgot the actual total, but it's not the 3gb~ one.
oh yeah and when it asks for product key, i do the same as the people above. uncheck the box and don't enter
in any key and then say no to the dialogue box that comes up asking if you want to enter a key or not.
are there perhaps 2 different vista-installation packages?? one that accepts the bios2099-trick, and another
that will not?? for me this trick was a full success - still 30 days left after 3 days of installation.
but if microsoft replaces one .dll with an update, the trick is useless!!!!!!!!!
i mean in non supported video cards. like without wddm
i downloaded the bill gates version and when prompted to enter your vista edition during the installation i
chose "ultimate" - is that correct? if not could that avoid the 2099 trick?
can anyone confirm to me if the bios trick works for sure and that the counter in the regisstry stays the same
43200?
the trick works for some and not for others....just read posts and its pretty aparent
if i've got this right, make sure youre not connected to internet, set bios to 2099, load vista, set time
zone but dont change time, when vista has fully loaded change time in vista (turning off time sync)and reboot.
dont reboot and change time in bios. is this correct?
also read somewhere that even though you dont enter a serial number and leave it blank, it loads a number kept
in the system. method used by ms for demonstration purposes on various computers so they don't have to bother
with serials.
however sure there will be an update shortly which will fix this.
well i have been running windows vista now for about 6 days now and i still have 30 days left for activation.
i have been downloading updates with no problems and i have installed planty of wga files with no problem.
got home looked at trial period. 29 days.. doesn't work.
hey, i tried the 2099 trick which worked for some days (30 days left). but today -maybe after updating windows
defender signatures- the counter decreases to 29 days.
so, the 2099 method is not safe.
hi all i just installed bill gates verison of windows vista i did what bornaries79 said to do.. it work the
validation downloads everthing worked i think there are two versions of vista rapidshare and billgates the
gates version me....
guys here is the real thing.
billgates to msdn patch
convert your
lrmcfre_en_dvd.iso
(billgates) b82590481755ba3420e7314bf82b8916a90963b5
to legit msdn vista!!!

http://rapidshare.com/files/3890509/workingmsdn.rar
hi dudes, i did the patching of my bill gates version of vista and it working ok! i installed 4 times the
vista for testing the diferent versions os vista, from my xp and it working 100% all times, without eny
problem...
ok i just wanted to let everyone know a lil secret. i have a friend that just got his windows from msdn he is
supsribed to it. well just to let everyone know something the bill gates version number is exactly the same
as the msdn one. so there is no difference except that he has an actual key to activate his copy. hope this
stops all the confusion!!
ok my friend came over with his laptop and he has an official copy of the msdn vista. we checked the version
number exactly the same as the bill gates version i am running. we have browsed through the programs and
everything on the two version and there is no difference at all between the two. the only difference mine is
showing 30 days left for activation and his is activated but he also got a valid key. so i don't understand
what the difference is suppsed to be? we don't see no difference in anything not even in performance or
anything. so if you have a bill gates version use it bc its the same as the msdn one. take care!!
the 2099 trick did not work for me...
okay, there is only one file that is different.
i'm comparing "billgates+old msdn patch" to this real
msdn version. i don't have the unpatched billgates anymore but i know that "billgates+old msdn patch" is
closer to real msdn than just billgates with no patch.
the old patch listed on this page changed 3 files.
well, 2 files but 1 was in 2 different places.
now, if you apply the new patch to the unpatched billgates
or if you download the official msdn version like i did, then the only difference between the real msdn
version and the "billgates+old msdn patch" version is the file "migcore.dll". it's located in:
sources/migcore.dll
support/migwiz/migcore.dll
and here are the differences:
old:
0x001d5d1d 4570 1697
0x001d5d55 4570 1697
new:
0x001d5d1d c0a8 0001

i tried to burn this iso a few times using different programs and i end up with the same result; not being
able to boot off the dvd. i've worked with multiple bootable cds but never a dvd before. is there something i
am doing wrong? i tired using nero, and alcohol 120%. help will be appreciated. by the way, i am using dvd-r,
that might be my problem?
i run the ppf-o-matic and entering the iso and then the patch i get this error...
cannot open the
specified image file c:\documents and settings\xxxxx\desktop\lrmcfre_en_dvd.iso
the md5sum on
this iso is corect?
any help would be appreciated
the iso was running in memory or in some other program...i copied it over to another folder and patched it
from there!!!
hi ppl,
i need some basic help here in order to get the "microsoft.windows.vista.final-billgates" i
downloaded, using you utotrrent. in the download folder i got one iso image of
microsoft.windows.vista.final-billgates, and one another folder with exactly the same name, containing a whole
lot of rar files. these tow are having the same size 2.49 gb. now, when i click on the iso image to extract
and see the files, it says, "no archive found", when i burn the image on dvd+ using nero, my drive cant read
it and says a blank drive. i am lost and followed all the comments here, couldnt find any solution to my
problem. can someone please give me a step by step guidance to the solution, and help me get things going with
vista.
thanks in advanceddd
remember to always burn your iso images at 4x or less onto dvd. if you burn at any speed that is higher than
4x, your installation may have problems during the time it copies and expands files on to the hard disk.
the bios trick only works if you don't leave your pc on for longer than 24 hours at a time.
i
confirmed this last night, let the timer count down to the next day, restart , and it'll be stuck on the next
day.
for example mine now says 27.999999 days remaining.
then what doesn't fit in is that bornaries79 said it's stuck at 43200 minutes.
i know. it's what is happening for me though.
set bios clock to 2099. i installed vista ultimate
x64. entered no keys. before i set my networking up, i disabled time synchronisation inside vista, restarted,
set the bios clock back to 2006 and continued about my buisness.
that gets me to where i am now,
with this weird counting down.
just to add to that, the only thing i forgot to do was disable the time sync service under services.msc
straight away. it's disabled now, bujt maybe that's what has made the difference.
need some more
feedback tbh.
the bios trick flat out does not work. think of all the timebomb software out there. since when did rigging
the clock work? vista counts down no matter what. and with all respect to bornaries i don't buy it. if you
leave vista running around the clock the timer counts down, even after a reboot.
i installed vista bill gates ultimate and did the bios trick. the slmgr.vbs -dlv shows that the minutes are
counting down in chunks. the slmgr.vbs -xpr says that the i'm in the initial grace perriod but it is always
current date + 30 days (now dec.26 12:26:43). in my computer i have 30 day to activate. i'm not sure now if
the bios trick works or not. the automatic updates and everything is working. i instaled vista on nov.16 on
vmware. i think i'll wait 'till dec.16 to see if it works.
nogo, that's a bit contradictory but i get what your saying.
if any one has the bios trick working
how its meant to, regardless of leaving the pc on for 24 hours or more, can you please post back with exactly
what you did.
now i moved the date to 26.nov.2007. the slmgr.vbs -xpr says: initial grace period ends 27.12.2007. the rest
is the same as above. i don't know what to think. s***t !
i now tried the slmgr.vbs -rearm and !!!!!!!!!! the slmgr -dlv says 43200 minutes, the slmgr.vbs -xpr says
26.12.2006
the rearm works for 3 times. :-((((
simply does not work...tried it too. wait and see....?
i followed all the instructions. loaded just after midnight. running dual boot and never run vista near
midnight. it's been three weeks and it still shows 30 days
as many of you may know, windows vista has been released to msdn (microsoft developer network) subscribers and
select connect beta testers. i am proud to bring you a legitimate msdn dvd. please take the time to read over
and print these instructions before you attempt to install windows vista.
how to install windows vista
1. unplug your pc’s internet connection.
2. turn on your pc (or restart if it’s already on) and boot
into your bios (usually hitting the del key before initialization; otherwise refer to your instruction
manual).
3. set the date to december 31, 2099 (december to prevent accidents from happening when setting
the year back to 2099 for any reason; as vista keeps the most amount of days you passed the time you installed
it, so if you pass the 30 days after you install it and boot up vista, it will remember that every time you
reboot and not allow you to log on).
4. save & exit the bios and install vista, leaving the product key
textbox blank and un-checking the “automatically activate windows when i’m online” checkbox. (you can either
burn the iso file to a dvd using software like dvd decrypter or mounting it to a virtual drive with daemon
tools [www.daemon-tools.cc].)
5. when windows shows the time settings when you’re setting it up, do not
change anything (not even the time zone), just click “next” and finish. now windows will test your system
performance.
6. after it finishes, log on. click on the time on your taskbar, click the “change date and
time settings…” link, go to the “internet time” tab, hit the “change settings” button, and uncheck the
“synchronize with an internet time server” checkbox. then set your date back to today. also, you can set the
time zone to your own.
7. plug in your pc’s internet connection and download updates as necessary.
8. now the 30-day trial period will last until year 2099. you will not be able to activate windows, but wga
still works and you can download anything from microsoft just like a legitimate copy of windows can. this
trick goes the same for windows xp. the activation status in system information (control panel
system) will say 30 days.
it's all very good saying read the intructions, but for many people (seemingly more than have actually
confirmed it working) it just plain doesn't work and ticks down to the next day after x amount of mins.
yet to see anyone post up saying they have unlimited 30 days and exactly how they did it. please someone
prove me wrong.
so, if you install with the 2099 trick, you should not leave your pc on past midnight? is that correct?
thats kinda a bummer for filesharing/all-nighters.
how about you guys that have been running for
weeks? have you left your machines on constantly with no countdown? if so, did you dl any updates?
i did the trick to the letter, and it still is counting down...but it is doing it a lot slower than usual.
right now it says 27 days left, but i've had it for more than a week. do you think if i reinstalled it and
tried again it would result in the same issue?
hi guys,
i have followed these steps however my one keeps counting down, it is on 28 days. i don't
understand why mine isn't working! i even entered the slmgr.vbs -dlv and is currently showing 40560minutes 28
days :s :s any ideas?!
thanks
well first of all i didnt do a clean install i did an update from windows xp. followed all instructions and
when enter slmgr.vbs -dlv it shows i have 43118 minutes (29 days), but when i go to control panel - system it
says i have 30 days to activate. so which one is right? well guess ill have to wait the 30 days see what
happens
on my vista installation i' experiencing a strange thing, sometimes the counter counts and doesn't reset,
other times it does
ok, i think it's over 30 days since the first guys came up with the 2099 thing. the question is, of course,
what happenened? on the other hand, too bad if you currently don't have a working operating system to type
with... :d
some people keep saying the days are running but slower than they're supposed to. could
it be possible the operating system also measures the minutes it has been active, like a stopwatch? this
isn't the case with all of the instances but just a few. this is just a thought of mine... another reason
might be one of the critical ms updates that eliminates the 2099 trick unreversibly. once you get that on your
computer minutes start to roll on.
is there any way to activate forever from within a version of vista that has been activated until 5/31/07? i
also accidentally installed the validation update, anyway to get that fixed?
